Kid-friendly swimming pool featuring a diving board and a water slide, plus a snack stand.
Specific, published pool temperatures for the Alexandria City Pool are not readily available. As a seasonal outdoor public pool, its water temperature is typically ambient, influenced by weather conditions and natural solar warming, rather than being actively heated to a precise degree.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this pool are mixed, highlighting both positive recreational aspects and significant operational and management issues. On the positive side, many patrons find it a great place for families to enjoy a hot summer day, praising its amenities like diving boards, a large slide (when operational), and separate kiddie pools. Some describe it as the 'best pool.' However, a dominant theme in negative feedback revolves around the concession stand and staff. Reviewers consistently report the concession stand closing hours earlier than advertised, frequently running out of basic items like nachos, popsicles, and even ice/drinks, often leaving patrons unable to purchase refreshments in hot weather. Staff, often described as young and unmotivated, are criticized for rushing to close early (including the pool itself 10 minutes before its stated closing time), being distracted, and lacking proper management or customer service skills, with one instance citing a 14-year-old as a 'manager.' Other major complaints include 'disgusting' and uncleaned restrooms, a non-functional main slide, and issues with incorrect change or inconsistent product sizing at the concession stand. Several reviewers express frustration over the perceived lack of care from management, suggesting staff changes are needed to improve customer experience and missed revenue opportunities.

We live in Anderson and we swim pretty much every weekend of the summer! We go to Browns in Pendleton, We go to Muncie, Marion, Portland, New Castle and we come here to Alexandria! This place is ran by kids who don't want to be there! They are always in a hurry to go home! So much so that they blow the last whistle at 5:50, kicking everybody out of the pool, even tho their hours say they are open til 6! Their concession stand is a joke! We were here last week and they closed the concession stand at 430, a full hour & a half before they closed, or should i say an hour and 20 min before they close because they close 10 min early every day! My GF worked til 3 today so we reluctantly went back this Sat, Remembering that they closed the concession stand last weekend at 430, we went to go get some nachos and popcycles at 4:00, but today they closed 2 hours early! I spoke to the 2 kids running the concession stand, they had to be about 14, 1 of them said he was the manager! I said Why are u closed already, last week u closed at 430! He said, we ran out of everything! I said I don't even have popcycles, he said No! I said u open tomorrow and the next day, why are u out of everything, last Saturday u ran out of everything at 430! Now today u are out of everything at 4!? I won't go back tomorrow to let you know how early they run out of every thing! Its ridiculous that u can't even get a cup of ice in this 90 degree weather! They need to hire an adult or two? These kids don't want to work and they certainly don't know how to rub a concession stand! They are all in too much of a hurry to go home! They need to put an adult in charge of the concession stand! The Pool closes at 6! But they close 10 min early every day! Imagine how much money they could make in their concession stand if they didnt run out of everything 2 hours early every day! I don't get it! How do they have product to open the next day if they run out of everything the day before! Who is actually in charge of this pool? WHOEVER IT IS, needs to be fired, because they don't care about their customers! If they are gonna close early every day and they aren't even making ice water available in this heat because they close the concession stand. People can get overheated! And news flash, people generally love to go to the concession stand! Why would they stop serving customers 2 hours early and why wouldn't they order more product? Its not like its the last day of the year, so they are afraid of having to throw away a bunch of food! Whoever is in charge of this place needs to be fired! Because they clearly don't care about their customers of making money!
I'm very sad that they closed the pool already this year. My son will miss it the most. lol
Have always enjoyed this pool. First time back in a couple years. The ladies restroom was DISGUSTING and smelled of pee could of used a deep clean! (Maybe one of 5 individuals getting pd just sitting inside gossiping could of been cleaning) pool area was wonderful exception the slide wasn't up and running disappointed to alot of kiddos! Lifeguard on duty spent his entire time in the chair with 3 of his friends by his side the entire time messing around paying more attention to them then the kiddos in the pool.. Concessions just wasn't what it used to be very disappointing today with what they have going they were out of everything, cans of pop were hot no ice or a cup available for sale, my child bought a popsicle for .75 first time they give her a jumbo one second time she gets a small one same price 2 completely different sizes but we had to pay a 1.00 because they didn't have change to given. I know iIt's early in the season so hopefully changes can be made
It is the best pool pretty much. I love it. The kids there love it, and they have a little kitty pool for babies, and grownups can go into and swim.
It's a great place to enjoy a hot summer day in the pool! Something for the whole family! Diving board, large &fast slide, two smaller pools just for the little ones as well. Big thumbs up from us 😁👍
