About

Stipe Pool, located at 801 N 9th St, McAlester, OK, is a community outdoor swimming facility operated by the City of McAlester Parks and Recreation. It typically opens during the summer months, offering a main swimming pool and often a splash pad or spray ground, serving as a popular local spot for recreation and cooling off.

Specific, maintained pool temperatures for Stipe Pool are not typically advertised. As an outdoor public pool, its temperature naturally fluctuates with ambient weather conditions and is generally not heated to a precise, constant degree.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the pool are mixed. Positives include the pool itself being great, good for families, less crowded than other pools, and having higher diving boards that kids enjoy. However, a significant negative point highlights rude and unprofessional lifeguards, with one specific instance of a lifeguard antagonizing a patron while their friends catcalled the patron's sister. Another major issue is that the pool is currently closed due to structural problems and may not reopen, which is a source of disappointment for some patrons.

Pool is honestly great. However lifeguards honestly keep on getting worse. Just so rude for no reason. I had one antagonizing me for swearing while talking to my sister? All while his friends were around him catcalling my sister after they told me to watch my mouth for saying swearing like what!? yeah so if you want a good time interact with the workers as little as possible they do not know customer service or general niceness this is also just one example they were all pretty hateful and I had to deal with a few of them

The water is a lot cooler than Jeff Lee pool. It's not as big which means less people, but I like it that way. And the diving boards are higher and my boys love that.

This place was excellent fun for the family on a triple digit day. Small and family oriented. Lots of laughter.
