About

Public swimming pool that's good for kids.

The main pool at Daniel Meyer Pool is generally heated. While temperatures can vary slightly, it is typically maintained in the range of 80-82 degrees Fahrenheit (26-28 degrees Celsius) for comfortable swimming.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the pool highlight its positive aspects such as dedicated senior swim times, suitability for swim lessons, great prices ($3.50 compared to $20 at YMCA), sufficient lanes, and generally courteous swimmers. However, several negative experiences were reported, primarily concerning unexpected closures without proper notice (e.g., due to 'poor air quality' on a hot day, or simply being locked up despite advertised hours), which led to wasted trips for patrons. There was also a concern raised about a patron contracting fungal folliculitis and experiencing a lack of follow-up from staff. A common recommendation from users is to always check the online calendar before visiting.

Love the senior swim time. No kids or families during our special times. Really appreciate that.

Great for swim lessons. However, I contracted fungal folliculitis here last week while swimming with my son. I called and the very young sounding girl on the phone didn't seem concerned. I left my callback in case they needed more information on the day that I was there and no call back. Love this place. Will go back. Just disappointed with the lack of awareness and customer service.

Said it was open until 7 pm showed up on a hot day to swim after driving all the way to Ashland from Central point with my client specifically to swim and everything was locked up despite no signs saying they were closed and no warning on google. Looks like a great place to swim, but it is locked up tighter than a prison.

Great pool BUT they closed on a hot sunny day claiming poor air quality. Very disappointing for the kids. There should've been a notice on the website. We wouldn't have wasted our time getting 3 kids changed and their hopes up just to read a typed note on the door. And...the air quality is fine. No legitimate reason to close the pool.

Great pool and GREAT PRICES. The YMCA tried to charge me $20/day to swim whereas here it's $3.50. There are enough lanes, and people are fairly courteous of each other. Make sure to check the online calendar before going to make sure what you want is going on when you go.
