What are people saying (AI review summary)? The campground is widely praised for its exceptional cleanliness across all areas, including grounds, facilities, and campsites. Guests frequently commend the staff for being friendly, welcoming, accommodating, and proactive in guest communication. Many appreciate the quiet atmosphere and the enforcement of quiet hours, while also noting good-sized, shady sites, dog-friendliness, and amenities like a store, pool, and river access for fishing and boating. However, a notable point of contention is rule enforcement, specifically regarding late-night noise from some seasonal campers and golf cart traffic, with one reviewer feeling that rules were not adequately enforced by staff. Additionally, one guest wished for more activities for small children. Despite some mixed experiences concerning noise, most positive reviews express a strong intent to return.

Had a great 4 night stay! Grounds are very clean and the management did a great job checking in with us to make sure we were having a good stay. The seasonal folks we met were nice and there were plenty of dogs for ours to meet and play with. One night got a little noisy from one group in the tent area but the owners took care of it and the rest of the nights were quiet. We look forward to returning for another visit soon! They have a great store in the office with just about anything you need to fix your camper if you have trouble while your there.
Had an amazing experience besides the record breaking heat. Pool, bathrooms, showers were all kept very clean. The staff more than pleasant to hold a conversation with and Absolutely welcoming. The campsites were clean, water hookup water was clean water. And 100% dog friendly if the rules are followed and dogs are respectful. Will be staying here again.
Great quiet campground with super accommodating staff. I do wish there was a little more for small kids, but other than that it's a great campground! Good size sites, awesome location with the river, fun fishing and boating and the whole place is super clean!
2 stars. Weekend campers beware!! The 2 stars are only because it is a beautiful campground, hammock trees, large, grassy and shady sites. Most people were very nice that we talked to. Sometimes the seasonals at campgrounds like this are very rude to weekenders. Weekend campers are mixed in with the seasonal sites. OK, so that meant 4 separate lots mowed their lawn on Saturday, and another was building a deck all day. Peaceful, right? Add in the constant drive by golf carts, and the late night party on the new deck across the road from us. They were so loud (after quiet hours) that I couldn’t even hear my husband sitting next to me at the fire. And the passive aggressive pointing out of “quiet hours are 9-9” upon check in, and the laundry list of rules that are common sense made this lifelong camper nervous! I brought it up when we left, and was told I needed to call the number on the door to the office to make a complaint. What?! You have signs all over stating what quiet hours are, you make a point to tell me at check in, and it’s on me to make a complaint? Where are all your rule enforcers?! If you have rules, you need to enforce them. How do you think state parks squashed their wild and crazy reputations? They have workers on patrol, enforcing the rules. We won’t be back, which is a bummer, you are close to home, and a beautiful place.
Camp ground was very clean, perfect way to escape the noise and everyday hustle and butsle. Enjoyed that they had quiet time hours. They do a great job in enforcing that so everyone can enjoy their stay. Everyone was super friendly and they also update campers. When something happens that may affect them during their stay. Had a great weekend look forward to more weekends camping here.
