What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the community pool present a mixed but generally positive picture. Many patrons highly recommend the facility, praising its value, cleanliness, and suitability for families and children's swim lessons. Positive aspects frequently mentioned include a generally helpful and responsible staff (with specific coaches like Cece receiving praise), ample seating, a well-watched and rarely overcrowded environment, and engaging activities for kids. The pool is seen as an excellent low-cost option for community swimming, especially during hot weather. However, a significant negative review details a highly negative experience, primarily focusing on rude, condescending, and unprofessional behavior from specific lifeguards, particularly 'Jenni B.' This review highlights issues with staff allegedly embarrassing patrons, lacking remorse for their actions, and mismanaging lap swimming lanes, which are described as insufficient and poorly organized. The manager's response to the conflict was also criticized as unconcerned and ineffective. The aggrieved patrons felt traumatized, unwelcomed, and even bullied, alleging potential racial bias in their treatment. Concerns were also raised about the overall handling of lap swimming and staff training.

My kids have been coming here for swim lessons the past 3 summers. We have enjoyed the staff. They have lots of seating and its open and weel watched. The community swim is nice during the day especially with the Tracy heat. We have never encountered an overly crowded pool. Definitely recommend!

All the Karen's that complain need to just build their own pool and stop bringing meanness to this place. It's epic. The staff are responsible and helpful . The population is kind and typically it's an A+ day! You can't go wrong for $2-3!

If I could I would give this place a 0 star, the staff is rude, just like the other couple of people have written about this place. If they do not get it their way they snitch to each other and embarrass people in the pool without understanding the situation, yell at you and give you attitude that is exactly what a lifeguard Jenni B. did to me and my husband. If this pool can't offer enough lap's for swimmers then do not offer lap's swimming. We were at the pool, I usually go for water aerobics w Cece who is amazing by the way, but today my husband got home early and we decided let's go lap's swimming. All the Lap's were busy and one that was not busy was occupied by a parent in front of the lap. We decided that we will go in the area that is not occupied and just do short lap's. On the other side of the pool on the short end was Jenni B. teaching little kids. A life guard Laurel discussed if we wanted to share the lane but we said no it's fine because a parent is at one of the lane guiding his kid the lap's swimming we didn't want to get in the way and the others had 2 people in each. We kept on w our short lap's then jenni decided she wanted to take her students into the deep end and so we moved a complete side and didn't even disturb her. When we moved in the center of the pool she didn't even notice us. However, a life guard Jilliane came and asked us if we were there for Lap's and we said yes, she asked us the same thing we explained that we already discussed with Laurel the situation and she was okay with us doing the short Lap's, without saying anything to it Jilliane walked away towards the office. As soon as she came back out of the office Jenni B. Confirmed with Jilliane if we were there for laps and She began yelling and talking in a condecending manner at my husband & I to move from the area very disrespectfully making us feel embarrassed infront of pool full of kids & adults and parents waiting around the pool. We got out of the pool & discussed the situation with the manager. The manager initially seemed unconcerned, only promising to speak with Jenni B. later. My husband decided to approached her politely and pointed out how rude and embarrassing her behavior was, but she showed no remorse and merely thanked us for our feedback. She acted out of power in such abrupt way that she had no remorse of how she made someone feel & what she said how it impacted the entire situation or a person. Jenni B. even falsely claimed we were rude to Jilliane, but we immediately clarified the situation with Jilliane, who confirmed our account. Despite this, Jenni B. remained unapologetic. If a situation arises the manager should have immediately pulled the lifeguard out and diffused the situation but she seemed careless. We felt embaraced just requested the manager for everyone involved & there names. We felt returning our cards at this point was best as it felt like a hostile situation to go back ever again to this pool & after all that embarrassment & disrespect we endured here. We have left a message for the superiors at the city. People were looking at us and while leaving, my classmates from the Aerobics class which by the way I had planned to attend after the lap's swimming were coming in & asked of the situation. Infact other people that were doing Lap's swimming on a total opposite end also shared their concerned about how poorly Jenni B. handled the situation and how poorly overall the lap's swimming area is being handled, 4 people in one tiny lane swimming together and they have only 4 lanes for lap's swimming. Jenni B. Seemed to be on a power trip, unapologetic, remorseless for her actions and absolutely condecending attitude. The event was very traumatizing, embarrassing and made us feel unwelcomed and unvalued as a client. The staff is untrained, incompetent and unprofessional in how to handle any situation and to be honest we felt we were bullied because let's be honest if this was someone that was light skin, blond hair they would have not been treated so poorly the way we were at this pool.

Great pool for what it is. My daughter and I only paid 6 dollars total to swim there. For that price I got a decent sized pool to swim in and a swath of vigilant lifeguards. I saw some comments where people complain about there being too many rules and amenities. The rules are quite simple and are pretty routine around most pools. And for the lack of amenities, this is a low cost community pool designed to allow families to swim and enjoy time together. For all purposes, I think this pool fulfills its design perfectly. It offers a place to swim and bond with families, with the added safety of vigilant lifeguards.
