Specific information regarding the exact temperature of the pool(s) at the Regional Water Safety Training Center- Empire Pool is not readily available through public online sources. Public pools typically maintain temperatures suitable for recreational swimming and lessons, often ranging from the high 70s to low 80s Fahrenheit (approximately 26-28°C), but this is a general guideline and not a confirmed temperature for this specific facility.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This venue is generally considered a good, family-friendly option, especially for young children and non-swimmers due to its shallow pools. It offers amenities like a nearby park, library, snacks, drinks, restrooms, changing areas, and rinsing stations, with life jackets available for borrowing. However, there are significant drawbacks including poor water cleanliness (cloudy, with hair and old band-aids), severe mosquito problems, and issues with cleanliness of outdoor tables. A serious safety concern was reported where lifeguards did not notice a drowning child. Customer service for reservations and information is frequently unhelpful, and basic facilities like changing tables are noted as missing despite its family focus. Covered picnic areas are available but tend to fill quickly or are unclean. Pricing varies, and rules include wearing water gear and adult supervision for potty-trained children.

$4 per person 2 and under Free Please have you little ones wear life jackets..They let you borrow them in exchange for your keys. Litte boy was drowning and lifeguards didn't notice. He was taken to the hospital.
Water could be cleaner, sometimes its cloudy and you can find clumps of hair and old band aid floating about in it. This place can get packed at times but its good if you have a family of non-swimmers (small children) cause the pools arent deep. They need to install a changing table in the bathrooms considering this a family palce.
Had a lot of fun with my girlfriend and our 2 year old son.
Great place for families. $3 for swimmers & $1 for non-swimmers. You can pay $2 extra later if you change your mind. They have goggles, snacks, and drinks for purchase. Restrooms and a changing area. With rinsing stations located next to the pool.
I really liked this place. I wish they would pick up the phone or at least leave their website on the answering machine. I didn't know you could reserve this. My daughter will have a better birthday party next year. There is a small park surrounding the pool and a library that is open on the weekends. It's a cute area. The park is clean and grassy. The only thing that's holding the 5 stars back is when two employees were leaving I asked both for the website and neither knew any information on how I could make a reservation. I would have to go ask someone else at the window they suggested. I finally got the information. The mosquitos are rampant in this area. You cannot just sit and have a good time. Your children or you will surely be eaten alive here. Overall the area is nice. The pool is so awesome my daughter had a blast. You must be dressed in water gear to be let in. Littles must be potty trained obviously and adults supervising. There is a covered picnic area. It fills almost immediately and I'm not sure if there are parents who hog the area. There are tables outside the pool, in the park area that is covered as well. They are not clean so bring covers for the tables etc. All in all, we all enjoyed ourselves. Staff gets 2 stars. Cleanliness of tables 3 stars. Experience 5 stars.
