A True Mountain Golf experience with on site lodging, exceptional food and great staff. The golf course is full of adventure and the greens are ideal! The vistas are breathtaking! It’s just minutes from the parkway and very close to Charlotte. The colors in fall are as good as it gets
Olde Beau Golf Course in Roaring Gap, NC is absolutely stunning! The mountain views are breathtaking, the course is beautifully maintained, and the layout is both challenging and fun. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the overall experience was peaceful and relaxing. We saw deer and other wildlife throughout the course, which made the round even more enjoyable. A hidden gem—can’t wait to come back!
Course is a mountain course so don't expect flat lies or no elevation changes. It will test your game. Don't go for distance off the tee, go for shot placement. Utilize a golf ap for your yardage, but there are markers in fairways for yardage. You do need to judge the elevation changes for correct club selection. Enjoy the course, the view, they are memorable. The views, the course and the staff will make this course one of the most memorable, if not the most memorable experiences you will have playing. The grill stays open depending on business, but if open definitely have burger, they are amazing and juicy. Don't take my word for it, just book your tee time and go. If you read any bad reviews, those are not to be trusted. Are some blind shots, but again is a mountain course. But in the Charlotte area many courses have some blind shots. Again, be strategic on your shots and don't just grip it and rip it. They utilize gas carts when it is cooler electric carts will not last as long. Fun times await.
Golf course is beautiful and in great shape. A lot of elevation changes so make sure you are in good shape as walking around the greens and fairways can be tiring. A must play in the area
Young golf “Pro” is rude & arrogant!!! Would never buy or join this golf club as long as he is on staff! We chatted with other golfers in the parking lot & they had the same experience & also w a woman in the shop yesterday too! We have been traveling & playing all over the country this summer and have run into all friendly, professional folk! Fun & challenging course! We did not stay at the resort. This guy needs to GO!
