About

Sawtooth Lodge, located at Forest Rd 700, Lowman, ID 83637, USA, is a historic and rustic mountain lodge nestled in the scenic Sawtooth National Forest. It offers a remote and tranquil getaway experience, known for its classic lodge atmosphere, access to natural hot springs, and a prime location for outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing.

The Sawtooth Lodge is known for its natural, geothermally heated hot springs and pools. While specific, precise temperature ranges for the pools are not consistently published, natural hot springs in this region are typically warm to hot, generally suitable for soaking and relaxation, with temperatures naturally varying.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? Sawtooth Lodge receives overwhelmingly positive feedback, with guests consistently praising the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff (including specific mentions of Jesse, Lindsey, and Austin), the delicious food (highlighting sandwiches, raspberry shakes, and ice cream), and the amazing, rejuvenating geothermal pools/hot springs. Many reviewers describe the location as a beautiful, unique, and serene 'slice of heaven' in the heart of the Sawtooths, perfect for outdoor adventures. While there were minor issues such as yurts getting very hot in extreme heat without shade (especially for families with small children), a temporary ice machine malfunction, and a rough access road for RVs, guests express a strong desire to return due to the fantastic overall experience, excellent customer service, and access to natural beauty. It is suggested to avoid weekends for a more solitary experience.

I want to start off by saying that Sawtooth and its staff are super friendly and helpful and I would happily come here again! I do want to give a heads up to any families coming here that have little kiddos— (ours are 3 and 10months) we were staying in one of the yurts that had no nearby shade and it was three days of 100 degree heat and we were having problems with heat stroke. The yurt got incredibly hot inside during the day so we mostly took shelter in the lodge and had some delicious ice cream. No fault to Sawtooth but the ice machine stopped working so we made several trips into Stanley for more ice. I would happily stay here again with my kids and I’m so happy to leave a 5 star review!!

Unique quaint lodge in the heart of the Sawtooths. The staff was so friendly, food was delicious, and the nearby geothermal pools were rejuvenating after our backpacking trip. Rustic cabin, but wonderful experience.

Absolutely love this place. The geothermal pool is amazing. Love using it first thing in the morning. The food, scenery, and customer service deserve more than five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recently visited the Sawtooth Lodge and had a fantastic experience, particularly with the food. After a few days of camping, their sandwiches were a welcomed treat. Fresh, delicious, and just what we needed after campfire meals all week long. But the highlight was their raspberry shakes. They were absolutely perfect, creamy and packed with real raspberry flavor. It felt like a real indulgence after our outdoor adventures. Another great perk is the nearby hot springs, just down the road, which makes the location even more ideal for a refreshing stop. Would definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the area!

This place is a little slice of heaven in the middle of nowhere. It is truly a gorgeous spot and while the road to get out there is rough (in an RV) you’re rewarded by an absolutely beautiful camping spot in what feels like the middle of nowhere. In addition to the location, the staff is absolutely wonderful. We had wonderful interactions, particularly with Jesse, the manager, Lindsey and Austin. But everyone there was more than happy to go out of their way to make sure everything was up to par s as nd guests were happy and well taken care of. We look forward to coming again and look forward to the soaking tubs, the hiking trails and easy access to the river and Hot Springs! I would recommend avoiding the weekend and you’ll most likely have the place to yourself!
