About

The Jimmy Floyd Family Center, located at 511 N Castle Heights Ave, Lebanon, TN 37087, USA, is a comprehensive community recreation facility. It offers a wide array of amenities including an aquatic center, a state-of-the-art fitness center, multiple gymnasiums, an indoor walking/jogging track, various group exercise classes, and childcare services. It serves as a central hub for health, wellness, and recreational activities for individuals and families in the Lebanon area.

The aquatic center at the Jimmy Floyd Family Center maintains specific temperatures for its pools: the competition pool is typically kept between 79°F and 80°F, the warm water leisure pool is maintained at 85°F to 86°F, and the whirlpool is heated to 102°F to 103°F.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Jimmy Floyd Family Center receives mixed reviews. Many patrons commend its comprehensive offerings for youth, families, and seniors, including a gym, pool, and various activities, with some staff noted for being friendly. However, significant criticisms include the facility being described as aged and in need of major upkeep, particularly the outdoor pool, leading to unfavorable comparisons with other community centers. The concession stand is consistently criticized for poor food quality and inattentive teenage staff. Lifeguards are frequently mentioned for being inattentive, inconsistently enforcing rules, and at times, being unhelpful or rude. There are also reports of rude front desk staff and amenities, such as diving boards, not opening as scheduled, resulting in wasted visits. Despite these issues, some visitors express a desire to return for the swimming amenities but plan to bring their own food.

This place is starting to show its age. It needs to spend the money to upkeep the outside pool. The city owned facility has enough money that it needs to remodel this place. Sadly, Gallatin and Manchester have an excellent community pools with water slides and functional amenities that work that are safe for our kids and young adults. I know Lebanon can do better than what they are doing right now with this aged building and pool area. Don't tell me what your going to do,Show me what your doing in your actions

The Jimmy Floyd Family Center is totally incredible! I've heard about it for years, but this was my 1st visit. It provides a place for youth, families, and seniors. While I was there, I walked around the facility. I saw the gym and the ladies bathroom/locker room. I do want to go back as they also have a pool and they are offering pickle ball lessons. I wish we had a center like this in Mt Juliet. They also have a little library outside! Way to go Jimmy Floyd Center!!!

The swimming area is great!! Lots of chairs and swimming area. The lady at the front desk is very friendly!! My only complaint is the concession stand. The nachos were stale, cheese was like dipped right out of the can, fries cold and no salt. When your grands won’t it them it’s pretty gross. The 3 teenagers didn’t speak and were to busy on their phones. Our first time here and we will come back for the swimming , just bring something to eat outside of the swimming area next time. Other than that great swim day for us and the grands.

Lifeguards have their heads in the clouds! I really wish I could give this more stars but multiple times we go there & the lifeguards have these rules for one kid & not the other. Today specifically, I was helping my 3 year old up to the kiddie slide - myself, a full grown adult, has trouble getting up there. Well the lifeguard told me that I wasnt allowed to help my child. There were other adults going down the slides & other kids going down the slides. So now because I wasnt allowed to help my child, my child was afraid to come down the huge gap of a step & the life guard was yelling at her to come down. But yet there was another kid skipping the line & being mean to the other kids and the lifeguard didnt say a thing. That kid almost crushed my child's hand with the gate that cant be locked in place. The rules posted dont say anything about the rules that were enforced against us. A rule for one and not the other.

There is an older lady who works the front desk and she is so rude and seems like she’s so miserable. I came to use the diving boards today ( august 20th ) and was told they open at 4. So i waited and came in and they didn’t open anything. All they had opened were the swimming lanes and the kiddy pool. Waste of money and i would of asked for a refund but it was nice young kids at the front desk when i left.
