What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this family-friendly pool are mixed. Many visitors praise it as a fun, clean, and safe place with excellent, friendly staff, free parking, and amenities like a baby waterpark and slides. However, several concerns were raised regarding pricing, which some find very expensive, even for residents. A recent policy change requiring a seasonal pass holder for residents was also negatively received. A significant concern involved an incident where a lifeguard displayed an 'arrogant attitude' and lack of understanding when interacting with a child with ASD, prompting criticism about staff training and respect for all guests.

I have been coming to this pool for years and haven't had an issue until recently. They changed their policy without warning. You now need a seasonal pass holder with you even if you live in toms river, which is ridiculous. Nevertheless I purchased the pass and have been coming weekly. After yesterday I don't know if I'll be back. I have a son who has ASD. He was swimming and playing having a great time. He does this thing while swimming where he bobs up and down. I have told him that it looks like he's having trouble swimming and he shouldn't do it at the pool where there's life guards bc it could give them the wrong impression. I have also had to explain it to a few of the other life guards who thought he was struggling and they understood and dealt with him perfectly. Now yesterday the young man with the blond longish hair was a different story. My son is doing his thing and the arrogant kid starts blowing his whistle. My son is not responding to him the way he wanted so he just keeps blowing it. I say he's fine that's just how he plays. The kids puts his hand up at me to hush and continues blowing the whistle and looking across at the other life guard rolls his eyes and makes another hand gesture saying what's wrong with this kid he's ignoring me. So I go over to him wait for my son to walk away and say my son is autistic and doesn't respond the same as others might. He says that's fine if he can't swim he can't be in the pool here. I said he can swim he just likes to do that. As a life guard u should be trained to deal with everyone. Some people don't communicate well or at all. My problem was not even with him thinking my son couldn't swim bc I understand how it looks and his job. My problem was his arrogant attitude, him never trying anything other than blowing his whistle and not acknowledging he was wrong. After this happened I got out and started getting ready to leave. My son goes to get out and I see this arrogant kid say something to my son before he walked over to me to leave. So I'm hoping he apologized but then when I'm leaving another lady tells me no he didn't he told him not to go back in the pool unless it's the shallow part. He didn't apologize to him or me just let us leave. We were paying customers that have been coming for years. All he had to do was say sorry and treat people with a little respect.
