What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Bellingham Y receives high praise for its excellent facilities, including a nice pool (often described as awesome), good basketball court, and great areas for working out. Reviewers appreciate the clean environment, private showers equipped with soap, shampoo, conditioner, and towels, as well as decent changing rooms and ample parking. Staff members are consistently noted as friendly and helpful, with specific mentions of Miss Peggy offering free coffee and Julie's knowledge of sports programs and personal training. The Y offers good classes, including effective after-school swimming lessons for kids, though quick registration is recommended due to popularity. Recent additions like a HUGE indoor playground are a hit with children, complementing an existing outdoor playground. While there are membership and additional class fees, the overall sentiment is very positive, with some calling it one of the best in the Pacific Northwest. Access requires badging in, and Sunday hours start at 8 a.m.

Great place to workout. It has a very nice pool, a good basketball court, and good classes! I definitely recommend that you go, say hi to my cat☺️
It opens at 8 a.m. on Sundays Miss Peggy was very nice she makes the best coffee and it's free! They have an awesome pool the showers are private you can pull a curtain with soap shampoo and conditioner also provide you with towels and a small locker for your belongings one of the best I've been to in the Pacific Northwest if not the best one thanks for letting me review and may God bless all the works of your hands!
We take our kids swimming here. Its basically what you would expect from a YMCA, there is a membership fee, then additional fees for classes. You need to be quick to register otherwise the classes will fill up. The instructors are patient, im sure working with up to 6 little kids who dont want to pay attention can be exhausting, but they are patient. it can feel like there isnt much 1:1 teaching, because there are other kids, but thats part of having a bunch of kids in a class and everyone does get a turn. Overall our kids have gotten much more comfortable with swimming and being in the water. the classes are after school which works well. The facilities are clean and there is a decent parking lot and decent changing rooms. The outside playground is fun for kids to play on before swim lessons. You will need to badge in at the front desk to get into the facilities.
Love my Bellingham Y. Does anyone know if people usually come in to play 5 on 5 basketball on Saturdays if I were to drive up? Thanks!
Amazing place for working out. Friendly staff, Julie is quite knowledgeable about the various sports programs and personal training. They just opened up a HUGE indoor playground, my boys love it!
