The North Kitsap Pool is a very nice community pool. Although it has seen many years of serving the community, it has been recently modernized and continues to provide for high level swim meets, swim lessons, diving and synchronized swimming. Facility is clean and well managed by the staff. It’s an L shaped pool with proper depth to allow for diving. This facility has served the community very well for many years and has helped to produce some of the State’s best aquatic athletes. Definitely an asset to the community.

We love coming to this pool. It's well maintained, swim lessons are wonderful but I have to say the staff that works here are just really excellent people!

NKCP is unable to accommodate disabled parents who cannot wait 3 hours in line for their summer swimming signup. After two summers of our kids missing out because my disability prevents me from using their current format--waiting in line for literally hours just to sign up--I called to ask if they could make an accomodation. I at least got a call back, which I appreciate, hence giving two stars instead of one, but there were no solutions provided that made it possible for me to sign up. I lucked out and my mother cleared her Saturday schedule to sign up. She came at 9am, sign up was supposed to be at 10, she finally was able to register my kids for lessons at 11:40am--almost 3 hours after she arrived. That a senior citizen (a retired Kindergarten teacher, too!) had to do this for her disabled daughter just to get the last possible lessons left because no disability accommodations were possible is incredibly dissappointing, and, frankly, shameful. Their summer swim signup excludes anyone with a disability, anyone who doesn't have a car, people who can't take an entire Saturday morning off work, anyone who can't find childcare for infants (waiting in line for 3+ hours is not infant-friendly or even safe), and anyone who can't find assistance from someone else to sign up.

This pool is always undergoing some maintenance or the other. Just as well, the water is terribly cold.
