What are people saying (AI review summary)? While some patrons appreciate the cleanliness and water aerobics, the majority of reviews highlight significant issues, particularly concerning lifeguard conduct and an inflexible swim diaper policy. Lifeguards are frequently described as having poor communication, being rude, constantly blowing whistles, and inconsistently enforcing rules (e.g., targeting a family for a minor infraction while ignoring a child repeatedly breaking rules). Several complaints also center on the strict application of a 'children under 3' swim diaper rule to nearly 4-year-olds who are fully potty-trained, causing distress to children and frustration for parents who traveled to the facility.

They keep it very clean. The water aerobics is amazing
Don't get me wrong the pool was nice and fun but the communication with the life guards is terrible. Someone had given my mom a bottle of water while we were at the pool which was nice but when she went to drink it the life guard 50 ft away blew her whistle and started yelling across the pool of several screaming children. Couldn't hear a word she said. My mom thought it mightve been her for the water so she backed up a couple feet and tried again. Whistle and yelling from the same life guard and my mom was confused so I asked one of the 2 life guards that was 10 ft away from us and they told us what she was saying. My mom got up and went to the sitting area to drink. Although this was inconvenient, it did not bother us. What bothered us was when the life guard that was yelling from 50 feet away got up, walked around the entirety of the pool to speak to the other 2 life guards and then walked all the way around to relay some message similar to "keep an eye on those ones" because they spent the next 2 hours staring at us like we were going to something wrong again, just waiting to yell at us. It was only instance they had to speak to us, and yelling 50 ft from across the pool does not send the message. Also if you say no drinks near the pool and there's a life guard close they can explain that it needs to be 10 ft away or more instead of spending the next 2 hours hawk eyeing you. Meanwhile there's a kid nearby that has been told several times to stop jumping off the steps (against the rules) by the life guards with no consequences (and continued to do it for 3+hrs). Just because someone can't hear you and you haven't explained the 10 ft away rule does not mean you have to mean mug a family for 2 hours straight.
My nearly 4yo can't go unless she reverts to a swim diaper. She was crying mommy I don't Wanna wear a diaper I'm not a baby. I wanna go swimming. Sorry they don't want you to swim they say your not allowed. Great job your people are challenged to think under 3 equals almost 4
Came to swim, not to supervise the lifeguards constantly blowing a whistle. The water wasn’t the only thing that was shallow ! Okeechobee do better in your hiring process!RUDE
I would give 0 stars if I could. Did not end up going in. Was told that "children under 3" must wear a swim diaper. My child is about to turn 4 (which is clearly not "under 3") and has been fully potty trained for over 14 months, and they told us we have to buy a swim diaper from them. Now she is in tears because she doesn't want to wear a diaper "like a baby" but really wants to go swimming. I'm so glad we drove a whole hour to go swimming here 🙄 Will not be coming back. Do better.
