About

Public swimming pool with a diving board and lifeguards.

Exact temperatures for the pools at the Colvin Recreation Center are not consistently and publicly listed. However, lap pools are generally maintained around 78-82°F (25.5-27.8°C) for optimal fitness and training, while leisure pools are often kept slightly warmer, typically in the range of 82-86°F (27.8-30°C), for guest comfort and recreational activities.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? This facility generally offers a friendly, safe, and clean environment with a good community feel, making it suitable for families with children, especially on hot days, with a great wading pool for little kids. However, recent experiences indicate significant declines. Prices for entry and membership have increased, and the changing rooms, showers, and restrooms are noted as dilapidated and concerning. There is considerable disappointment over the removal of the diving board and overly strict lifeguard enforcement, which is perceived as misinterpreting 'rough play' and negatively impacting the fun. This has led to a notable decrease in attendance compared to previous years.

Nice environment to take the kids on super hot days. The little kids' wading pool is great and sparsely populated. Great community feel, and swimming areas are clean. Prices for entry and membership went up from the last time we came a few years ago. Changing/showers/restrooms are pretty delapidated and frankly a little scary.

2 years ago we had a blast at this pool...this year however I am very disappointed! The diving board is gone and while I agree with no rough play I don’t think they lifeguards understand the meaning of rough play. I was going under water and letting my son jump off of my hands and that isn’t even permitted. (No flips or anything just jumping) when I asked the lifeguard why since it didn’t seem like rough play to me she answered in a snide manner “because that’s why”. Obviously the residents are not fond of it anymore either because when we used to go frequently it was ALWAYS PACKED, this time there wasn’t even a quarter of the previous attendance!!!
