What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this pool are highly mixed. Several negative experiences cite rude, snobby, and potentially prejudiced lifeguard staff, with specific complaints about overly strict rule enforcement (e.g., distancing for a pregnant woman, eating rules), perceived racial bias (group of young Black boys in 'time out'), and inappropriate comments that made visitors feel unsafe. Some found the environment hostile and the pool too strict compared to others in the area, also noting accessibility issues for elders. Conversely, many positive reviews praise the staff and lifeguards as 'top-notch,' attentive, kind, and welcoming, especially for children. These reviews highlight the staff's ability to manage unruly groups effectively and provide excellent service for private events, including thoughtful gestures like heating the pool. These positive experiences describe the pool as having a 'small town' feel and being a great place for families.

I went swimming today with my husband, the second we came in to pay, a snobby life guard said to her coworker “if I didn’t work here, I would NEVER come here.” We live in the area and it’s the closest pool to us, an hour into our swim we are having fun and goofing around splashing each other and I went to use my husband as support (I am 7 months pregnant) and was holding onto him. The lifeguard yells at us “this is a public pool you guys need to distance yourselves” so whatever I stopped holding onto him even though everything we were doing was appropriate. The same lifeguard from the beginning did a staff change on the towers and they were obviously gossiping as she was staring right at me and my husband. We finally decided to get out about 10 minutes before closing, and I started eating my strawberries as we are walking out of the pool, she then blows her whistle at me and yells across the entire pool “eat at concessions tables” I kept walking and ignored her, the head life guard waiting at the main building said “I know you guys are leaving but next time eat at the tables” I ignore her too and she yells “thank you” the staff have never given me a problem until today. I also questioned why a group of young men were sitting out for so long to my husband, as it was 100 degrees today at the pool. Apparently they were in time out for almost an hour, the group was all young black boys and only them. They all were super off and weird today and I didn’t appreciate the hostile environment, hope some better staff are there in the future but I think next year we will just get us a decent above ground pool so we don’t have to deal with lifeguards who have nothing better to do.

The pool is nice. The down fall is I see Elders wants to swim, but they struggle to get in and out of the pool. They have the ladders for the 3 ft area and that’s just hard for them to get up and down or they try to use the side to get out which is a struggle for them as well. The pool has a lot of rules, can hear that whistle blowing every 10 minutes. The other Lincoln pools are not as strict. Would be nice for an upgraded pool in Airpark like the others in Lincoln.

The stafff was Incrediblely rude and singled my family out. It was so prejudiced. One life guard said “I’m not jumping in to save you I’m to lazy” not sure if that was supposed to be a joke but it made me feel unsafe for my kids. I will never be returning. Worst pool in lincoln.

We love this pool! My kids were nervous about checking out a new pool but everyone, the staff, lifeguards and the other kids in the pool were so nice to them they felt welcomed right away. The lifeguards are top notch, very attentive and try to get to know all the kids' names. Whether there were a few dozen kids in the pool or just a few they remained focused and were kind but assertive about correcting behaviors. It feels very much like a small town pool. Keep in mind there will always be groups of kids that can cause trouble, as with any pool, but the staff is great about keeping them in check and respectful. Great pool!!

We rented out the pool Aug 6th for my sons 12th Birthday. The staff and everyone were amazing! The tempature had cooled down the last few nights and the owner said she felt the pool and turned the heater on for us a few days before the party. It was wonderful! The tempature was great! That was extremely thoughtful of her! I highly recommended this place for swimming and pool parties! I would like to thank the staff again for all of their kindness!
