Update June 2021: they cancelled our beloved Ballard swim team due to lack of participants 😰. We are now officially a proud member of Eden Pool Swim Team!Tips for parents regarding Ballard (i.e. vans full of daycare kids arriving to swim), go to the pool at 3:00 instead of 1:00. Most daycares go from 1:00-3:00 and the pool is busier with smaller/elementary-aged kids during this time frame.

in love with this pool. Yesterday I had the scariest experience though story here: So basically the storm started and my dad was on his way, but he wasn’t there yet, so I had to run to inside the building and they were rushing us to get in the middle of the place and we had to sit in there and I was crying and shaking right because, of course I’m scared and then a couple minutes later they’re telling us to get in like the boys like hallway so we sit there and the power goes out and I start bawling my eyes out and I’m still shaking and then a lifeguard comes to sit by me and stuff and then finally when it cools down for a second they tell you to rush to your car like run. I don’t remember all the staffs names but they were in credible and kept a safe definitely a 5/5 recommended to go there. Can’t wait to go again

The staff seem to be a little uptight towards minorities, do better.

Was here for my grand daughter's swim meet. Typical pool for the City of Lincoln. If you've seen one, you've seen most. They did run a fairly efficient swim meet, which I can't say about all the other pools we've been to. Nice park adjacent to the pool. Could use more parking, it is fairly limited.

Its a good pool, but when I went there a lifeguard had to jump in and save a kid, plus theres no shade at all. The baby pool was closed and the pool was dirty and the only thing that was decent was that they gave out free sunglasses. I don't recommend it but if you like that kind of stuff, go for it.
