About

Water-filled spot with diving boards and a gradual, beach-like entrance, plus a playground and a sand volleyball setup.

Specific heated temperatures for the Neenah Swimming Pool are generally not publicly provided, as it is an outdoor facility that primarily relies on natural summer conditions for warming the water. Therefore, specific, maintained pool temperatures are not readily available.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews for the city pool offer a mixed perspective. Several patrons praise the facility for its wide array of amenities, including various slides, a diving board, swimming lanes, a sand play area, beach volleyball, ping pong, and a new basketball hoop, highlighting it as a great place for family fun suitable for all ages. The bathrooms and showers are noted as clean, and parking is ample. The water quality is also mentioned positively, and some reviews commend the staff for being friendly and helpful. However, a significant and concerning theme in multiple reviews revolves around highly unprofessional, rude, and aggressive behavior from some teen staff members. Incidents include staff yelling at children without cause, using condescending tones, escalating situations, and exhibiting behavior perceived as intimidation or 'power-tripping,' particularly towards families. These negative experiences led some families to vow not to return, and raised questions about staff training and maturity, directly contradicting the positive staff feedback. There was also a minor note about a broken sprinkler system and a wish for better maintenance of the sand play area.

Teen staff need lessons on communication and proper manners. Yelled rudely across the pool for my young child to stop running when she clearly was not (I don't allow my kids to ever run at the pool). You don't yell at a younger child like that! Then later they yelled at us to not get too close to the ducks, yet we were 3 feet away and not close to the roped off area. It was our first and last time there.

Our recent visit to the city pool was completely unacceptable and left us shocked by the behavior of one of the staff members. The young man working the slide showed aggressive, unprofessional, and outright hostile behavior toward our family. We visited with our 1 year old and 9 year old. Instead of calmly communicating any concerns, he escalated the situation, told us to leave in a condescending tone, and then climbed onto the roof of the building to monitor whether we were actually leaving — which we did. There is no excuse for this kind of behavior, even in a high-pressure summer job. Enforcing rules is one thing — intimidation and power-tripping is another. This individual clearly lacks the training and maturity to interact with the public, especially families and children. We will not be returning to this pool, and we strongly urge the city to re-evaluate the hiring and training standards for its staff. Public facilities should be safe, welcoming places — not ones where families are driven out by employees on a power trip. I wish I could give 0 stars.

Great family fun! This is a great pool for all ages. There is a shallow end with sprinkler water pipes (currently broken). There are swimming lanes for those who want to do laps. There are two slides and a diving board. There is also a sand area for kids to play in, beach volleyball area, and a ping pong table. The bathrooms and shower area are good sized and clean. There is also plenty of parking.

Kids have a great time, they love the basketball hoop which was added this year. I wish they would maintain the sand play area a little better. Concession stand, large water slide, drop slide, diving board, sand play area, separate sand volleyball area.
