About

Fenced-in water park featuring a splash pad, plus a dive board and swim lessons.

Specific information regarding a maintained or average temperature for the Public Works Pool (North Fond du Lac Community Pool) is not readily available. As an outdoor seasonal facility, its water temperature likely varies with prevailing weather conditions.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the North Fond du Lac Pool present a mixed, but predominantly negative, picture. Recurring complaints include a severe lack of seating by the pools, disruptive behavior from older children that lifeguards seemingly fail to control, and perceived overly strict swimming rules for the 5ft deep section. Patrons also reported ice-cold splash pad water, filthy bathrooms, and feeling uncomfortable due to non-swimming, fully clothed men watching children. Staff professionalism was questioned, with observations of lifeguards sleeping at the front desk. There were also concerns about swim lesson disorganization and unresponsiveness from the pool director. On the positive side, some reviewers praised the pool's cleanliness, the friendly and helpful lifeguards, and the effective separation of the kiddie pool/splash pad from the deeper areas.

Great place for kids and adults. Kiddie pool and splash pad is separated from larger pool by a fence. Which helps keep your little ones from wondering into the deep pool. Pools are well kept and very clean. Life guards are friendly and helpful.

1. No chairs to be seen by the baby pool area or larger swimming area for people to sit on, people were laying on concrete. One corner of the pool had chairs, just a few-all taken. 2. No control over older kids swimming, very disruptive, making it hard for the younger ones to swim safely. The side lane does not make up for this, it is thin and narrow, overpacked. Lifeguards need to get more control over the older kids. 3. Splash pad water is ice cold. 4. Filthy bathrooms, waited til we got home. 5. Men in there fully clothed and NOT swimming, just sitting along the wall watching children, made me very uncomfortable for my children. 6. Front service desk had lifeguards sleeping with head on the table when we paid to get in, huge sense of hating their job not wanting to be there. 7. The only thing somewhat normal was the little kid swimming area, but again no chairs for parents. 8. No early hours available. 9. Not a Karen, just an honest person. Would love to see improvements.

Lifegaurds don't allow children to swim in the 5ft deep section unless they can swim the entire length of the pool, back and forth, without stopping and your arms have to come out of the water in a full stroke and your feet cannot touch the ground. It is such a small pool to begin with, and the life gaurds should not need that strict of rules if they are doing their job properly.

I’m very disappointed with our experience at the North Fond du Lac Pool. This was our daughter’s first year in swim lessons, and it was extremely disorganized. She was placed in session one twice, even after we had already received a certificate stating she passed weeks earlier. On top of that, notes were made about her “needing to do a better job at listening,” yet when I reached out to the pool director to address these concerns and clear up the confusion, I never received a reply. Because of this experience, we will not be supporting the North Fond du Lac Pool going forward.
