Kid-friendly outdoor pool along a lake with diving boards, slides and a splash pad.
Specific, maintained pool temperatures for Austin City Pool are not consistently published. As an outdoor municipal pool, its water temperature is generally ambient, influenced by natural sun exposure and external weather conditions during its operational summer months.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Visitors generally find the pools, including the kids' pool and splash pad, enjoyable for relaxation with family and friends. However, the facility receives substantial criticism regarding its management. Key complaints include limited and inconsistent operating hours, frequent and extended breaks that often lead to significantly shortened swimming times, and unannounced early closings, causing frustration and a feeling of being overcharged. Cleanliness is a major issue, particularly the filthy locker rooms and general use of the building for storage. Food handling and hygiene are also heavily criticized, with reports of bare hands serving food and unqualified staff. Additionally, some staff members, such as a cashier and lifeguards, were noted for their demeanor or inattentiveness, and there were instances of inconsistent entry pricing. Attempts to contact facility management about these concerns have reportedly been unsuccessful.

Had fun there! My two sons enjoy their kids pool but the look of their cashier who u pay for getting inside her face is always looks mean u know ..and one thing on my first time there they literally charge me and my husband for 20 dollars to get inside but later on I found out from my friend that each adult cost 5 and I was shocked cuz I pay 20 for me and my husband !..
I went there before everyone was very Nice even I saw my friend there
The pool is good. Employees should have a proper training on how to handle the food available for purchase. What I saw was an important lack of knowledge, people unrelated to the food store giving food to the customers and eating food inside the store. Hot dogs out of plastic/paper bags being served with bare hands, the face of the devil!!!. I will go to the pool but will ever buy food there again.
The pool and splash pad are great, but this pool is very poorly run by the city. I’m surprised how filthy the locker rooms are. It looks like the whole Building is used as storage on and off season. I can’t believe how little they are open for a city this large. They take a 15 min break every hour and are only open 1-4:30 on certain days. Union workers don’t even get a break every hour. During my recent visit I observed lifeguards that were not even paying attention to the kids in the water. We arrived around 3:20 pm so I assumed my kids could swim for an hour before closing at 4:30, by the time we pay and get into the pool. We get in the water, swim for 15 min and they make everyone get out for a 15 min break but after looking at our watches it was 20 minutes. So we get back in the water at 4:05 and then at 4:20 they closed the pool. 10 minutes before it’s supposed to. We had a friend join us and we spent $16 to swim for 30 minutes. They don’t even tell anyone that they intend to close early, let alone the huge break right before closing. We were all excited to invite people to join us there this year but we’ve now changed our mind regarding this pool. I don’t understand what’s so difficult about being open for the hours posted. I called and left a msg for the director of Park and Rec who has not returned my call. I’m really not surprised after seeing how stuff is handled in this city.
It really fun to go there when you have nothing much to do. You could hang out with friends there tan in the sun relax. And they have an area where you can buy something to eat during break which it 10 mins long and that's really nice to also bring your family like younger siblings.
