Coastal, family-friendly area with calm water, rocks to climb and snorkel around.
Specific temperature data for the Tidal Pool at Jettys is not available, as it describes a natural, unmanaged coastal feature rather than a regulated pool. The water temperature within these natural tidal pools would generally fluctuate with the surrounding Gulf of Mexico water temperatures and ambient air conditions. Gulf waters in Panama City typically range from approximately 60-65°F (15-18°C) in winter to 80-88°F (27-31°C) in summer, with shallow tidal pools potentially warming or cooling more rapidly than the open ocean.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This beach spot, particularly the tidal pool and jetty area, is highly recommended for families, especially those with small children, due to its calm, clear, and shallow waters. Visitors appreciate the option to wade in the wave-free tidal pool or venture to the ocean side for waves and snorkeling opportunities. The park offers an affordable entrance fee and boasts excellent facilities, including clean restrooms, changing rooms, outdoor showers, and accessible walkways. Wildlife such as comb jellyfish (which don't sting), sand worms, and crabs are often spotted. Crowds are generally not an issue, especially on weekday mornings. While picnic areas and grills are available, some may be closed for construction. It's noted that dogs are not allowed and occasional dead jellyfish might be found on rocks in the larger tide pool area.

Excellent beach day spot! We arrived early and had the majority of the area to ourselves for a long time. Great snorkeling opportunities. You have the option of wading in the tidal pool with no waves or making a quick walk across the beach to the ocean side for crystal clear water and standing in the waves. The park was affordable to enter and we spent an entire day here. Great restroom facilities and walkways to the beach. Florida excels with their state parks in the Bay County and surrounding areas.
Very nice beach behind the jetty. Shallow, super clear water. Look for comb jellyfish (they don't sting) sand worms, and crabs. You can scoop up the comb jellyfish. There's a store, snack counter, changing rooms, and picnic shelters by the parking lot. The gulf coast is just the other side of the sand dune. Went on a weekday morning and crowds were not a problem.
The Tidal Pool Jetties have the Wave Breaking Rocks that keep The Beach Extra Clean and Waves Calm all year round. A great place to hang out with the Family.
Worth the day pass fee to climb the rocks and enjoy this area! Clean restrooms. Area with grills and picnic tables is closed off ( perhaps for the winter?) for construction. Nice outdoor shower to rinse off the sand! No dogs allowed.
Best spot for little kids! There's a small little "kiddie pool" area, i like to call it, right along the rock wall, see my photo. We did see 3 large jelly fish dead on the rocks in the bigger tide pool area though, so keep an eye out. No jelly's in the smaller kiddie pool area so that's a plus!
