Many patrons appreciate its historic value, accessibility features like wheelchair ramps, and convenient amenities such as pavilions, picnic tables, lounge chairs, and benches. It's often highlighted as a great place for children, parties, and creating lasting family memories, with some noting its cleanliness. However, significant criticisms include dirty and non-family-friendly changing rooms/bathrooms (lacking changing stations), excessively high concession stand prices, and the sale of heavily used 'lost and found' items at high costs. Several reviewers expressed frustration over being charged full swim prices for non-swimming observers, with no option for refunds or discounts. There are also concerns regarding rude and unprofessional management and lifeguards, with some citing poor safety supervision.

I love how the pool can be wheelchair accessible and the all around set up is convenient with a pavilion and picnic tables, there is also lounge chairs and benches all around the pool. There is men and women changing rooms with bathrooms however I don't like how they aren't family friendly and have changing stations and the bathrooms looked dirty and the concession stand prices are crazy expensive and they sell used (lost and found) items like life jackets and pool toys that are heavily used pretty expensive. I paid 10$ for a life jacket for my 2 year old daughter but she needed it at the time so we caved and bought it but definitely won't be buying anything else from there because they have charged my whole family swim prices even though me and my husband never even touched the water. We only take our kids down and observe them! We were never offered a refund or discount or anything either when I found out that if you don't swim it's a small fraction of the swim costs! We might just not come back and instead go into moundsville!

It is a better experience for kids than adults but it is moderate. Ages 3+ cost $3. And just a fact, swimmers aren't allowed, just swimming trunks and bathing suits.
