We've been here for near a week now. So far its been a pretty awesome experience. They have a ton of stuff to keep you occupied! They have a pool and kid pool that should be open in like a week, they have this gorgeous lake with all kinds of fish, my husband caught a large mouth bass the other day and it was a pretty good size (not huge but definitely not an underwhelming size either), they have a very well built dog park, a bar and restaurant on site, they have weekend activities planned for kids and adults alike, so far everything has been pretty kid friendly! My kids absolutely LOVE the trains that come by and honestly its pretty awesome! We will be here for another few months so I obviously will be adding videos and pictures and an update at the end of our stay here 😊

Love it here! Amazing service. Excellent food, drinks, and accommodations. Park is beautiful and well maintained. Prices are reasonable. Wonderful weekend of fun and relaxation. Will be coming back for sure! Jason and Crystal are the best bartenders!

The staff here was amazing. The grounds were clean, there is a dog park, the pizza was really good, there is a bar if you want a drink, and a huge pond for the summer. I will say it looked like they dyed the pond while I was there, I’m not a fan of that but that’s me being picky. The only thing some ppl might not like is the trains that go by there. The tracts are right next to the campground and there is a crossing there so the train has to lay on that horn everytime. If you are a family with lil kids I’m sure they will enjoy the train, you might not. It didn’t bother me since I was there working. It was a nice place though, I do recommend it.

We have returned to coconut cove 2 years running. We stay in a camper and have family that rent a beachfront cabin. The kids LOVE playing on the aqua park and having the option of a playground, jump pad, and pool as well. It is clean and well kept. We love the full hookups. I understand the train noise can be bothersome to people, but we're from a railroad town, and were on the opposite side of the lake, so it didn't bother us a bit, not even the baby! Staff was very friendly and our site had a great concrete pad for us to sit and relax on. The cabins aren't fancy, but don't need to be! They're perfect for a short stay for a couple people, and they have cute little decks to sit on and enjoy the lake and sunset. We also rented a golf cart, and the carts are quiet and very nice. We plan to return next year as well! Staff was very friendly when we called to ask questions, so if you have questions/concerns prior to booking, don't hesitate to call and ask!

If you are considering a stay at coconut cove let this review be a good guide to provide the information that is left out or hidden on their website and contracts. Overall I like this campsite, but the misinformation and false advertising is confusing and disheartening. I stayed in a beach front cabin (near the bar) around the 4th of July. I have posted photos since I could not find any online! The place was clean and stayed cool in the hot weather. If you are considering this cabin rental please note: - bring paper towels & all linens including towels and bedding. The only thing provided is toilet paper and a small soap & sponge by the sink. - there is no coffee maker :( - there are no pots or pans (you can rent those at the office) - there was very basic plates, silverware, and cups provided - this is a kitchenette (not a kitchen) so there is no oven. - there is a full fridge, a microwave, and a sink. - check in is 3pm, I never could find the checkout time posted online or in the contract. I assumed it was 10. - if staying in a beachfront on the side closest to the main building, keep in mind the only way to access the beach is by the bar. The other side is locked with padlocks so you have to walk all the way around the chainlinked fence to get in. -there is a TV but no channels. It has a DVD player. I would suggest bringing a fire stick. -there is a small WIFI cube that provided stable internet during our stay Here are some of the fees/additional costs to factor in when booking: -the beach cabin sleeps 6 but only comes with 4 passes. You will need to purchase additional passes at the office for 20/day/person or 25 on the weekends (they check at the entrance to the beach for a band) - the beach cabin only comes with 1 parking pass. You will need to purchase additional from the office for 15/car/night - the inflatable course is an additional cost (we didn't do it so I don't know the cost) - if anyone visits you at coconut cove they must pay 5 dollars to park (they were stopping every vehicle at the entrance ) Golf Cart Rental: this was a very frustrating part of my experience and I need to share this info as it is not posted anywhere on their website or in the contract. Golf cart rental is NOT for the day (contrary to what is posted online). The time of the rental starts and ends at normal checkout time. We stayed 2 nights and rented the golf cart for the 2nd day. When I went to pick up the golf cart in the morning I was told I could not get it until 3pm. I called and spoke with customer service and they had to dig to find the info and also confirmed this is the case. In the contract it only states the return time NOT the start time. Please keep this in mind: if you want a golf cart for the morning you will need to rent for TWO days not one. So instead of 50/day it is really $50 for a rental from 3pm to 10 am the next morning unless you rent it more than 1 day, then you can keep it until the end of you stay. Train: as noted in the other reviews the train is loud, but in the beachfront cabin (near the beach bar) it wasnt terrible. You could still hear it from inside but it wasn't overwhelming. I have stayed at coconut cove previously in a camper and though we were up on the hill the camper would shake when it passed. This was not the case in the cabin. Overall: I like this campsite, but it is extremely overpriced (especially for the Hazel Green/Kieler area). For a day pass of 20 dollars (25 on the weekend) you only get access to the beach (without inflatable course) and pool (without a life guard). This is very steep (the Kalahari in the dells is the same price for a day pass to give some perspective). Also the beachfront cabin is extremely basic. For the cost with all of the additional fees we could rent a full cabin elsewhere, but we choose to stay here because family is close. It was over $600 dollars for 2 nights at a place that doesn't even have a coffee maker and doesn't come with enough passes to cover the advertised capacity...
