We came here 34 years ago when it was Riverdale hot springs, we revisited a few days ago and after paying for a day pass we were denied entry to the pool. The reason for this was lightening. We waited for almost an hour. I ask the personnel if and when we would be able to swim they said they were watching another storm. I told them I would like a refund they gave me a coupon for another visit. I told them this wouldn’t work for me as we travelled out of state. They did finally give me a refund. I was disappointed that they took our money with no warning that there was a lightening warning. They should have been up front about it and not sold us the tickets in the first place. I also found the bathroom shower changing rooms to have a nasty smell.
Wow! What a fun time! This new owner has really turned this place around! It is clean and beautiful. The pools were perfect temperatures, the dressing rooms and showers were way up kept and clean, and they had some even have mixed drinks you can purchase. They have ice cream and floats and other snacks too. I love that you can bring in your own food and drinks as well. We used the RV campground there over Labor Day last year and it was way fun to go back and forth for three days straight. It was way relaxing and fun. I would definitely recommend going to Bear River Hot Springs if you haven’t been for a while. The new owner has fixed it up so nice and it’s worth every penny!!!
Great views, nice place for big families to stay all together. We enjoyed the pool and hot springs. Only complaint we wish there would have been more supplies in a play for up to 12 people there was only 3 towels and the shower supplies were only half full and were the little bottles. Other than that it was a great experience! I would recommend adding more pictures of the condos so people know what they look like before we book.
Bear River Hot Springs is truly a hidden gem. Because it is not a very popular hot spring location the pools had plenty of space and were very open. The two different water temperatures provided the option to switch between the pools based on how hot you were feeling. Perfect weekend getaway with a great atmosphere.
This is the melting point for the locals, children and adults alike. Went there on a Saturday afternoon and it was very crowded. The entry fee does not include the slide. There is a regular pool, a large hot tub that is partially covered and a much larger soaking pool. There are quite a few covered picnic table areas which is nice. Unfortunately, there seems to be some kind of slime , or moss inside both the hot tub and soaking pool that made it very slippery. Did not want to put my face in it. Went back on Sunday and there were no crowds but the soaking pool was extremely dirty. If they cleaned the pools to remove that green/black film, it would be a pleasant place to soak. The shower/bathroom areas are ok. The changing rooms look clean. Be careful of the rubber mats on the floor, they are worn out and can easily be tripped on.
