About

Popular venue for parties featuring a main pool, a splash area, plus a playground.

The pools at Burns Road Aquatic Complex are generally heated, with the recreational pool often maintained at a comfortable temperature around 82-84°F (28-29°C). The lap pool is also heated, usually kept slightly cooler for exercise, typically between 79-81°F (26-27°C).

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The aquatic complex receives mixed reviews, with several critical points raised by patrons. A significant number of complaints revolve around poor customer service, staff miscommunication, and unprofessional attitudes, particularly during birthday parties where guests faced issues with entry despite prior payment and external vendor interactions were mishandled. Overcrowding, especially due to summer camps, is another major concern, leading to long waits and an unenjoyable experience. Additionally, swim lesson instructors are criticized for lacking the skills to make children comfortable, and there's a general lack of transparency regarding operating hours, with frequent, unannounced closures for private events. While the facility may have undergone renovations, reviewers consistently point out that the 'people skills' and operational management need substantial improvement to match the updated appearance.

We had our daughter's birthday at the aquatic complex, where we had reserved the large coral and a cabana. Our party started at 11.30, and by 1 o'clock we were asked to leave due to a thunderstorm. We understand the safety reasons to do so. Also, we are aware that in the contract, it states that if you have at least one hour of your party, there will be no refunds. We had already paid for additional members on top of what is covered by the coral rental. One of our guests drove really far to get to my daughter's party and arrived a bit later; they just wanted to go in to say hi to the birthday girl and give her a gift, but they didn't even let them in while we were wrapping up because of the thunderstorm, and told them their tickets weren't paid for, even though it was. The second thing that happened was that an ice cream truck came to the parking lot, allowing kids to enjoy some ice cream. We notified the aquatic complex and inquired about the rules. They stated that they would need to obtain a stamp when going outside so that they could show it to gain re-entry, and also that the truck can park anywhere there is a parking space. When the truck arrived, they said they knew nothing about a truck and that they wouldn't let them serve ice cream there. These are signs of mismanagement, miscommunication, and not knowing how to provide customer service. They have renovated the complex; now they need to work on people skills.

We hosted a birthday party there that ended prematurely because of thunderstorms. We understood that we would not receive any refunds based on our agreement, and we accepted that. Nonetheless, we had reserved the large coral and a cabana and had already paid for our guests. One of our friends traveled a significant distance and arrived late while we were packing up due to the impending storm. They simply wanted to briefly greet the birthday girl and present her with a gift, fully aware that the park was closing. Initially, they attempted to charge her, despite the fact that I had already covered the cost for my party guests; then they informed her that she couldn't enter at all, even though they would not be near the splash pad or pool. We are quite frustrated with this kind of treatment. They need to improve their approach to customer interactions with more kindness and professionalism; just upgrading the aquatic complex is not sufficient.

Don’t waste your time. We arrived at 10:00Water park was at capacity. They don’t open to everyone til 11 even though they technically open at 9:00. So many kids. Summer camps everywhere. You can’t play at the park because there are hundreds of camp kids. We waited in line for an hour. Then the water park itself was packed you couldn’t even enjoy. Don’t waste your time.

If you want to send your children to swim lessons where the instructors strive to make sure your child/children feel comfortable then this is not the place. Swim instructors should be skilled and trained to deal with children who are afraid of the water. The setting appearance is nice but the people didn’t have the most welcoming attitude at all. Very dull attitudes and No diversity .Waste of time !

Awful communication about hours of operation of splash pad. I would suggest calling before going as they close the venue for private events always. Great when it’s open but they need to be more transparent with their hours .
