Wonderful time at Purity Springs! It’s one of the most beautiful places! The lake, the beaches, the hikes- all wonderful! It’s so nice to be able to kayak, canoe and paddle board any time, trying out water skiing was thrilling, the beach and pool are relaxing. All the staff was beyond kind! Great free yoga and aerobics classes in the most beautiful location, with the gem, Carol-Ann. The rooms are simple and no frills- but they have lots of different room sizes and location which was great. We had a great time with our extended family, perfect for all the young kids we have!
We spent months looking for the perfect venue for our vacation wedding and we fell in love with Purity Spring the moment we saw it. Not only was the scenery breathtaking across the whole property but they had plenty of activities from water skiing to canoes to dinners on the island, we had an amazing time with our whole family. It took a little over a year of planning to get our wedding put together but Heidi, Matt, and the team worked hand in hand with us throughout the whole process and helped things run as smoothly start to finish. We can’t wait to visit again! 🧡
This was an absolutely wonderful stay. I can't express enough how much I enjoyed staying here. From the clean and quiet room to the peaceful kayaking adventure (which is complementary!) out to the beaver ponds, I loved every moment of it. Great price and location, and super friendly staff at check-in. Thanks for the wonderful experience, I'm excited to return in the future!
We stayed this past weekend, and can't wait to return next summer. It's late in the season so I'm sure it's much quieter than a few weeks ago, but we are already planning next year's adventure, and we will be staying again. We found it very centrally located to adventures we planned ahead for and enjoyed very much. The only comment would be a reclining chair in the room after those long days would be a dream.
Oh boy… where do I begin… The rooms: I’ve seen comments claiming that it’s “rustic”, but I think they just misspelled “old and dated.” These rooms haven’t been updated beyond a coat of paint since about 1975. The carpet and furniture in common areas is even older. The doors from outside going into the room wings don’t close completely, which presents a huge safety hazard. There’s little to no insulation, because the rooms in summer are incredibly warm and humid, despite the AC blasting (and comfy) in the common areas. The in-room amenities are still 20 years out of date. We had to buy a real coffee pot because the tiny one in the room was useless. Housekeeping visited our room twice in the 5 days we stayed, the first time only to drop off fresh towels but not take away the wet ones (seriously, with the room that humid there was no way towels would dry); the second time was just to take our trash and give even more towels. No beds made, no other trash taken, nothing. The service: When we did talk to housekeeping and the front desk, they were very nice… especially when I had to tell them that the fire alarm had woken us up TWICE. According to one in my group, the event planner was fantastic and very flexible, which was very much appreciated. The location: The area may be beautiful, but the King Pine property is too far from the main resort to really be able to do anything. It’s also so far away from anything that there is no cell signal whatsoever. It’s 20-30 minutes away from anything, which might be fine while skiing but not so much while staying in the summer. Had we known what we were getting into when we booked the stay, our travel plans would have been much different, and we only would have stayed for a single night. It’s not going to be someplace I ever choose to stay again.
