I have spent thousands of dollars over the years on ski lessons for my kids at Yawgoo Valley, and I can honestly say this most recent experience was the worst of them all. When my youngest (twins) finally joined the program, we were so excited—until day one. Their “lesson” was a joke. Out of a 50-minute session, maybe 4 minutes were actually spent on skis. The rest of the time, the instructors took turns walking kids to the bathroom while the others just stood there doing absolutely nothing. I watched my kids stand around, ignored, while my money went straight down the drain. When I raised my concerns to the program director, she was dismissive and downright rude. Her response? That she made sure my kids got on the bunny slope “once.” Once, in nearly an hour. That was supposed to be acceptable. When I followed up by email asking for my kids to be moved up, I was told flat-out “no.” They also reminded me that there are no refunds—basically telling me if I wasn’t happy, plenty of other families would take our spot. So now I’m out $700 for two kids for what was essentially babysitting in ski boots. No effort to make it right, no accountability, and certainly no respect for loyal families who have invested heavily in their programs over the years. Save your money and go anywhere else. Yawgoo Valley has proven they care more about taking your payment than actually teaching your kids to ski.

We've gone here a few times with the kids during the summer and they love it! I just wish the pricing vs. allotted hours was a bit more realistic. Pretty pricey for a pool with two slides

We’ve visited here a couple times... specifically, the tubing park. It’s fun for both kids and adults, and your admission includes the tube rental. When we went, it was unseasonably warm; almost 50 degrees in February. This meant that the only snow was made by their snow-making machines... it was soft and slushy, but the tubing was still a good time. They have a tow-rope/ski lift to pull you back up the hill each time which was fantastic. There’s a concession stand at the top which sells hot chocolate, coffee, snacks, etc. We’ll go back again, it’s fun.

Small town ski area with a snow tubing section as well as a water park in the summer = awesome. It is, in my personal opinion, the BEST place to learn to ski or ride. Period.

Love this place but staff is unbelievably rude. My 8 year old was taking a private lesson with 4 other girls. I purchased a lift ticket to ride during their lesson. I was helping my daughter with her skis and was absolutely berated by the rope tow guy about needing a lift ticket to be in the snow area. I explained I had one and he proceeded to call ski patrol. Who then came down and spoke with him not me. A second time, this happened when the lesson was over. And this man once again starts yelling at me that i need a lift ticket and again radios to patrol. I showed them my ticket and he went on about his business. I’ve rode in almost every mountain in the untied states and not a single mountain required me to even have a lift ticket to be at the base of the mountain. I happen to have had one, but the staff needs to be educated how to approach customers, or better yet, maybe help children out who seem like they are struggling, crying and frustrated. This is a beginner mountain. 90 percent of their customers are new to the sport or at least with a person who is new to the sport. Very disappointing. Beer inside is cold and good. 3 stars for that.
