What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this pool are mixed, but predominantly negative due to staff behavior. Positive aspects include an affordable entrance fee ($3-5), a clean, deep (12ft), and cold pool, available lifeguards, and a snack shack. However, many visitors reported unwelcoming, snotty, and unhelpful staff, particularly towards tourists or non-local adults. Issues included being told to wait when the facility was supposed to be open, lack of explanation, being given 'stink eye,' and mandatory swim tests for all, including adults. There's a strong sentiment that the pool primarily caters to an after-school program, making adults and tourists feel unwelcome. One disturbing account from a child alleged a staff member harmed a chipmunk. Older reviews from 17 years ago mention a great time, clean pool, and friendly people, contrasting sharply with more recent experiences.

Nice staff good pool dont cost a lot only 5 to 3 dollars
NOT WELCOMING TO TOURISTS We tried to come in at 12:30, but a helpful parent let us know they were doing private swim lessons until it opened for public at 1pm. So we came back at 1pm and a staff member did NOT like that. She said they weren’t ready yet, they were getting everything situated. So I asked when they opened, she said at 1pm… so we walked back out the gate, and they opened a window 5 seconds later and said they were open. We paid for a family rate and staff explained nothing, just gave us the stink eye until finally came up and told us to get out of the pool and take a swim test - even adults. This YMCA pool is primarily an after school program, and adults/tourists are technically allowed but not welcomed. Staff had a super snotty attitude so we eventually left. Pool looked clean, was 12ft deep, and nice & cold. There were 3 lifeguards and a snack shack with candy and soda. Don’t worry - we won’t come back.
Nice pool, but you have to take a swim test…even if you are an adult.🙃 When we went there a second time, a kid came crying up to his mom because apparently the people who run the pool don’t like chipmunks?? The kid then said that one of the pool staff hit the innocent chipmunk with a hammer and then stepped on it with a wooden board…😢 I don’t know, you tell me…😬
