This is a nice pool for children. The kids can do a swim test, earn a wristband and enjoy a great slide. It's a graduated depth walk-in so its good for very young kids to gain some independence in the water. Nice lifeguards, with good attitudes. Negative for me is not enough shade for so many people and the sidewalk is super hot for little feet. Friendly and fun!
Pool is horrible but what do you expect for free. We were there an hour and when we first got there couldn't go in for 15 mins due to a break. Then we finally get in the water, 20 mins later we are forces out because some kid "drowned" made everyone get out th3 pool so they could go talk to the parents. The kid didn't drown he was having a hard time which he had a wrist band that is "suppose to" keep them from going over there but no rules are actually enforced besides getting out the water right as you get in. We were there for an hour and had to get out of the water 3 times because of "safety breaks." I used to be a lifeguard at a 3 level pool bever in my life did I see so many lifeguards for one pool and so many breaks on top of it. I will not be going back until management can do better.
We went for the movie and pool night. This is our first time going, we went for my daughters and met her friend there. I paid $40 for me and 4 kids. No we did not pre-register but anyway we go for the movie. First off we were told about a swim test so i took the procedures for them to take the test. We got there at 8, i found out maybe around 8:30ish about test anyway i go to the lifeguard to sign the board and she asks if i can wait 5 mins because she hadn’t had a break i said ok. I low key forgot about the test because nobody ever came back to the lifeguard post, once i finally realized where she was (because she and a male guard was hitting each other with the blue save ur life thing) i ask do she want to take the test she says she didn’t know once the movie start they not doing test so then i had 3/4 kids upset they can’t get on the sliding board. Then they say it was lighting so we couldn’t be on the pool post. Around 9:30 we left. I don’t even think we made it to the middle of the movie. Seem like a cool idea but it didn’t go well. I’m going to complain about that $40 because it def was wasted on bull!! The girl at the desk was sweet/nice though, and assisted me with signing up for the test!!! And my kids did have fun, just a weird experience
Very nice pool and the adult staff is very nice, but today, July 17th, i had quite a different experience. 2 of the teenage boy lifeguards harassed me. I was attempting to swim in the lap lane, to do laps, and had one of them immediately single me out and fuss at me for being in the lap lane, and he'd been told twice that I was in the lap lane to do laps. Then, mid lap, I had another lifeguard single me out and yell at me to get out of the lap lane if I'm not doing laps, to which I yelled back at him, "what do you think I'm doing?" And after these experiences, the first lifeguard was staring at me and pointedly watching me every time I stopped to get a breath as if he were just waiting for the opportunity to fuss at me again. I cannot help but feel like the reason why I was singled out was due to me being bigger, and I'm pretty mid sized at that (not that it would be appropriate if I was bigger) because there were various other smaller individuals in the lap lane taking up space and impeding me and another woman from our exercise, but they were never called out. It was an extremely frustrating and unnecessary experience. This is supposed to be a family pool where anyone can come and swim and get exercise, and people who aren't skinny dont deserve to be harassed for trying to do what everyone else is.
Last time coming to this pool. Lady that checked us in was super sweet but all the breaks and the life guards attitudes is not fun. You can barely move and they’re already blowing the whistle lol don’t recommend
