What are people saying (AI review summary)? The swim school generally receives overwhelmingly positive feedback for its effective teaching and dedicated staff. Many parents praise the instructors for their professionalism, competence, patience, and ability to make learning fun, noting significant improvements in their children's swimming skills and increased confidence. Aspects like individualized progress tracking, tailored lessons, and consistent feedback are highly valued. The facilities are described as clean and well-organized, and the enrollment process, particularly the monthly, fixed-schedule option, is appreciated. Specific staff members like Jose, Coach Toy, Ashley, Miss Lucy, and Coach Rachel are frequently commended for their positive impact and energy. However, one reviewer reported a frustrating experience due to a lack of clear upfront communication regarding class sizes and individual instruction time. This led to concerns about limited attention in 30-minute classes, inconsistent class placements, and what was perceived as inadequate resolution options, ultimately resulting in disappointment over the investment.

My Princess used the Saint Michaels High School location and Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center. Special thanks to Jose (Deck Manager), Coach Toy (Deck Manager), and Ashley (Swim Coach) for making this such a great experience! My daughter was extremely comfortable and so very eager to return each time. As a parent, there was no lack of trust considering the demonstrated professionalism and competence of all Staff. It's also appreciated that the progress of each participant is tracked individually and their lessons tailored accordingly. Lastly, the price points, policies, and facility are beyond acceptable and I couldn't be more satisfied.

Little Fish Swim School is a fantastic place for kids' swimming lessons! Miss Lucy is an exceptional swim teacher - patient, kind, and makes learning fun for my son. Her engaging lessons and clear instructions have helped build his confidence in the water. We've seen significant improvement in his swimming skills since starting here. We highly recommend this place!

We signed up for swim classes after receiving numerous texts from the school, assuming that the representative would provide all the necessary information. However, our experience has been quite confusing and frustrating. During the first class, our son was the only student. In the second class, he was paired with another child who required a lot of individual attention, and the same issue persisted in the following class. Given that the classes are only 30 minutes long, this meant very limited time for our son to receive instruction. Additionally, classes often started a few minutes late and ended early, further reducing the already limited time for learning. When we tried to schedule a makeup class, we discovered that he had been placed in the wrong class. After switching, he was put into a group with three other students, dividing the 30 minutes of class time among four kids and resulting in even less individual attention (approximately 7.5 minutes or less). The only resolutions offered were to find a class with fewer students—though that could fill up at any point—or to pay significantly more for individual lessons. Our main issue is that we weren’t properly informed about the class sizes and how time would be allocated by the representative via text. If we had known this information upfront, we definitely would not have signed up. Overall, the lack of communication and proper class placement has made this experience disappointing, and I expected more clarity and support from the school, especially considering the investment we made in these lessons.

Little Fish has been an absolute blessing this year during the pandemic for our children! We started lessons this past September for both my son who is 10 and my daughter who is 8. They were put in the same class as their starting levels were very similar. While it seems like for a short 30 minute swim class, we have found that the instructors are very efficient at making good use of every minute from start to finish and spend the same amount of time practicing with each child in the group. Children will progress at their own pace and while it seemed that when our children started it took a while for them to progress to the next level, once they began leveling, they gained more confidence in their swimming ability which has helped them level further. As soon as the instructor believes one of the children is ready to advance, they are immediately assessed and if they meet the skills requirements they are passed to the next level with a new set of skills. We have had our kids be very close to advancing and take several weeks to get to the next level and we have had them master some levels much quicker. I am very impressed with the level of care and professionalism all of the instructors take in working with the students and in interacting with the parents. They are always on time with classes and keep a very clean and organized facility at the Jeff Rouse Center. My kids always look forward to their weekly swim classes and we all love Little Fish!! Coach Rachel is so kind and patient with all of the children and takes time to explain the children's strengths and where they need improvement in order to progress to the next level. My kids are always so excited to jump in the pool and start their lessons. We also love Jose the deck manager. He always brings a ton of energy and excitement when answering questions we may have or letting us know that one of our kids has just passed to the next level. We love Little Fish and look forward to continuing our swimming relationship for a very long time!

Finally!! A place that actually teaches my kids how to swim! The instructors are not hit and miss, they are ALL invested on helping your kids make progress each week. Their swimming curriculum is top notch, focusing on foundational movements that will set up your child to become a strong swimmer. You get feedback after each lesson on how your child is progressing and what they are working on. And bonus, you don't have to keep signing your kids up for sessions and hope you get the time slot you want. With Little Fish Swimming, you pay monthly, and are locked into a day and time. The staff is friendly and have always been so easy to work with. I've been to 6 other swim lesson places in 4 different states, and this is by far the best I have come across!
