What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Genoa pool generally receives positive feedback for its good prices, cleanliness, and amenities, including two waterslides, a toddler splash pad, and a small pool suitable for young children. Visitors appreciate the attentive lifeguards (in one instance), great staff, and effective swimming lessons. However, some patrons expressed significant dissatisfaction with overly strict lifeguard rules, such as excessive whistling and mandates for parents to be within arms-length of children wearing life jackets, which they felt limited children's ability to enjoy themselves. Another major concern was a lack of communication regarding unexpected closures, leading to frustration, wasted travel, and disappointment for families, exacerbated by issues with accessibility and cleanliness of alternative restrooms when the pool was unexpectedly shut.

Great prices for a local pool we liked both of the slides and the toddler splash pad and a small pool was a blast for my 2 year old. They have a special on Thursday definitely worth the price. The lifeguards were on point keeping an eye on the children.
Lifeguard's frequent use of whistles when children are present at the pool. It seems that families come to enjoy the summer pool and allow their kids to be kids, but the constant whistling is too excessive! Kids can't go pass the white line & jump in the pool, (No, kids were not running, obviously floors are wet! If your child is wearing a lifejacket parent MUST be in arms length, (Which means get in the pool with them). Nice facility, however both visits were the same issue.
The Genoa pool is wonderful, clean, and the people who work their are great! My son takes swimming lessons and he learning so much and becoming a strong swimmer with the instruction he is getting
Nice clean local pool with 2 waterslides and a kids pool at Chamberlain Park which has great amenities.
Worst experience so far for a local pool. Used to clear communication. They closed for their night swim June 5th even after they were scheduled to open. No notice, nothing. Bunch of families with kids like mine waiting around, knocking, calling, etc. for over an hour. Really disappointed and let down for having an hour drive here and back. The kiddos were excited and then let down. I also had to use their next door toilet because they weren’t open and had to use an unclean restroom near their karate class. Squatted down low with my bad knee shaking- no accessibility. Kids are left weeping.
