What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews for the pool present a mixed picture. Significant negative feedback highlights issues with rude staff and lifeguards, including an instance of a child being made to cry. Many users criticize the lack of amenities, such as no seating, insufficient hooks in locker rooms, limited functional showers, and tiny pool entry stairs. Other concerns include the absence of an easily locatable website, difficulties in securing swim lessons due to staffing, and the need for updated bathrooms and changing areas. A recurring complaint is the limited seasonal access for taxpayers (June-August), contrasting with year-round access for a private club. Positively, users appreciate the pool's shallow end for young children, its beautiful setting, great location, and small-town vibe. The pool is generally reported to be in good physical shape, and one employee, Xander Houser, received specific praise.

Worst Pool in the county. Rude staff, Rude Lifeguards. Made my 7 year old cry and embarrassed her in front of several of her friends. Would not recommend at all.
My favorite employee is Xander houser. He keeps my kids in check! 😆
The pool seems to have no website??? Or at least not one that Google can locate within the first ten minutes of my search. I really like this pool’s shallow end - it’s very helpful with my little ones. I appreciate that aspect of it. And of course it's in a beautiful setting. But in pretty much every respect, this is a low budget pool. No seating provided. No hooks in the locker room to get your wet suits and towels off the bench where your dry clothes await you. Only four showers in the shower room, and only one really works properly. The tiniest little staircases to enter the pool. It does the job but definitely lacks amenities.
Small town vibe great location.simply awesome. I live next door. Here's the rub. I want to swim all year. We pay the taxes. The Penguin swim club is private and has no business being allowed to swim all year, whilst us taxpayer citizens cannot. It's really not cool. I am not able to swim laps even now. Not until June 11 thru August 8.
I like that we have this available. I have not been able to secure swim lessons for my son the past couple of years because of staffing issues, but they have done a good job with keeping the pool in good shape. The bathrooms and changing area are in severe need of an update.
