Came here with the family I babysit for, great place, we primarily stayed in the baby pool area but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves! And the changing rooms wear very clean and spacious the pool seemed pretty clean, and the life guards switched out pretty constantly which is awesome and the only issue was they didn't have hot water for the showers because it was broken or something but it was great and the pricing was very well set for a public pool!
Often I am the only one there swimming laps. It's only open certain hours and seasonally, but when they are it's a great place to swim. Very cheap drop in prices.
A lot of people criticize the life guard team as being too strict, but these young adults do an awesome job. I've been bringing my kids here for swim lessons for 6 years now and the coaches are always very sweet and good with the kids. Every worker I have talked to as well is extremely polite and friendly.
The kids that run the place are little bearucrats in training, DMV and VA employees would be so proud of their ability to stick to the rules and never act like they were interacting with actual humans. They have the most cush job in the world and they all act like they have the personality of a bucket of warm fluid excreted from ones mouth. Go to any of the pools in Davis and you will see how Human beings are suppose to interact with each other. Other than that the place is well maintained and the chlorine levels in the pool are great.
Opens at 5:30 am to 8:00 am, Monday thru Thursday. Cost $4.00. There is other times to swim also. You will have to look it up. Lap swim and other exercises are the things to do in the pool.
