Life guards are rude. My 4-year-old ran off when we got there with her 10-year-old sister and the lifeguards jumped in and freaked out over her being in the pool without me even though she was in a life vest and floaties. They made a big deal out of it and made me fill out paperwork because she was unsupervised for less than 5 minutes. It was a very uncomfortable setting and the lifeguards made you feel as though your kids were not allowed to actually play and have fun
Very inexpensive! The lifeguards take their job very seriously and enforce all the rules, particularly any child under 48” must be within arms reach of an adult (not a 17 YO) at all times. So if you have multiple kiddos under height you may not want to go. And hiring a babysitter to help out won’t cut it, unless they are 18.
Height rule for kids sucks. You could have a 10 year old that knows how to swim and not be tall enough to be in the pool with out a parent, because they at short. Or you could have a child that's super tall and only be 4 and not know how to swim but they are over the height restriction and can be in the pool with out an adult.
It was pretty fun until lifeguards chew you out if you aren't right next to your 6 year old that has a life jacket on and is playing in the kids area. I've been to other rec centers and I've never experienced that before.
My little niece wanted to go off low diving board. Pool rules on the wall say it’s ok for her to do it. Life guard stops us and says she has to prove she can swim to lap ropes and back. So we did that and life guard said “she thinks my niece had to touch the ground couple times”. I replied “ she can’t even touch in the water she was swimming in”. Anyway tried to talk to head life guard and was told if the lifeguard said no then she will go with that. Which I completely understand the pool backs the lifeguards. But a 16 year old kid telling me what to do in BS! I’m a responsible adult and my niece passed the swimming test. Couldn’t throw our water aqua football. Just whole place is a joke. Let children be children and adults be the adults. I watch my family and responsible. Negative stars 👎🏻
