What are people saying (AI review summary)? Brown's Pool is widely celebrated as a fun, family-friendly, old-fashioned swimming destination offering a variety of activities including a unique high dive, multiple slides and diving boards, sand volleyball, basketball, a playground, and picnic areas. Patrons appreciate the clean facilities, attentive lifeguards (though some suggest improved monitoring on certain slides), ample seating, and an owner dedicated to providing a positive experience. While admission is considered reasonable, common criticisms include high concession prices, particularly for water, and a strict 'no outside drinks' policy. A significant concern raised is an allegation of staff and owner 'fat-shaming' patrons and publicly judging individuals regarding weight limits for diving boards.

Amazing pool in a great spot! Lifeguards are on it! Owner is a go getter and overall you can tell they care to make their pool a fun and relaxing place to be. Lots of seating, and tons of variety in activities for kids. Definitely recommend!!
What a fabulous experience. Like a step back into the 90s. We enjoyed digging our knees in the sand playing volleyball and basketball, super clean facilities and pool itself—and the slides and diving boards are so fun!!! My husband, my son, and I had a blast for hours. We would’ve stayed longer but needed drinks. Keep up the good work, highly recommend to ALL PEOPLE!!!!!
Had fun, people were friendly. They need to monitor the slide better on the shallow end it's hard for 1 lifeguard to watch it and people all at the same time .a case of water being 15$ is a bit high though honestly...overall good place to be
Don’t miss the only surviving high dive in San Angelo! We’ve been coming to Brown’s Pool for twenty years and it never gets old. It’s the ultimate old fashioned campground pool with truly something for everyone. Admission is $5/person starting at age 4. Three and under are free. The pool boasts two diving boards, three slides, and the shallow end is divided by a cement wall from the deep end. The patio surrounding the pool has been expanded in recent years and has a lot of room for tanning or watching swimmers. There were 4 lifeguards on duty at our most recent visit on 7-19-19 and all were attentive. There are inner tubes for swimmers and pool toys are welcome. There is a large yard with covered picnic areas, grills, playground, sand volleyball court, a bouncy castle, and other amusements. There’s a concession stand up front and a grill in back. Jukebox music is available also. You can bring as much food in as you want (no glass containers) but PLEASE NOTE- NO OUTSIDE DRINKS ARE ALLOWED inside whatsoever. The grounds are well kept and children run around free and happy feeling safe. Parking is a gravel lot and can get crowded on weekends. It’s a great place to have a birthday party, family get together or other swim party.
Browns Pool staff and Owner will fat shame you and assume you are over the weight limits for the diving boards. So if you’re healthy be cautious. They Judge you!! And make sure all the life guards are aware of your size to call you out.
