We took our kids (5 and 1 yr old) on vacation, we wanted a camping experience but with an upgrade in amenities from just pitching a tent. Rented a cabin and we were blown away at how it was a home away from home. I would recommend a golf cart rental, so glad we rented one to navigate around the park with ease instead of using our vehicle. The daily events planned for families like movie night or activities throughout the day were nice. We would recommend at least a 3 day stay to fully enjoy your time at Camp Fimfo and all it has to offer. The views are breathtaking, the pools are clean and the water park is fun friendly for all ages. Can't forget the bubble station and playgrounds available for the kids for dry play, and the fluffy bounce pillow, hope to see you again real soon!
We love camp fimfo! It's a wonderful experience for kids and just a fun place to be. We have stayed here two summers in a row and always have a great time. The amenities are great (but do wish some of them were included in the cost!). And the cabins are super cute and have most of what you need. The only thing I wish they would do is make the double set of bunk beds for you when you arrive! With 3 kids and hauling in all our stuff, it would be so nice to already have that part done (and bunk beds are tough to make!). Also, they should absolutely implement a QR code/online ordering system at the pool for food. Would be such a nice addition to the pool area. Anyway, we miss summer already!
Booking online was quick and easy. We reserved a cabin for 12, even though only four of us went, so we’d have extra space. Be aware: the base price only covers four guests, and you’ll be charged $140 for each additional adult—even if you’re already paying for a larger cabin. The property itself is clean, and most staff were friendly. Unfortunately, our cabin wasn’t ready until about 5:30pm, well past the 4pm check-in time. We were given a free ice cream voucher as compensation, but standing around in 100+ degree heat with nowhere to go was rough. Food was another challenge. On our first day, the only place serving hot food was sold out of nearly everything. The next day, we were able to order pizza and tenders, which were good and fairly priced, but the wait was over an hour, and many guests were openly frustrated. Golf carts—though expensive—are the best way to get around. The river was extremely low, with some stagnant areas, so that was a disappointment. The fire ring was a nice touch, but a burn ban meant we couldn’t use it. Pool time was also cut short due to lightning, and everyone was asked to leave the entire pool area. Overall, the place has potential. We had some good moments, and I’d love to return in the future, hopefully under better circumstances. With improvements, this could easily be a 5-star experience.
We had the absolute best time at Camp Fimfo! We stayed in a treetop cabin and absolutely loved it! Every morning and each night it felt like we were at a safari. The sunset and sunrises were the best! I loved that we had our own personal bathroom as well. It was a nice touch. My kids had a blast along the river at the playground and especially at the waterpark! We already cannot wait to go back again!! Oh gosh, I almost forgot the roller coaster! What an amazing experience I highly recommend it!
Our family had such an amazing time at Camp Fimfo Texas Hill Country! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and there were so many activities to keep both kids and adults entertained. The grounds were clean, well-kept, and had a fun atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy ourselves. We especially loved the water park. It was the perfect mix of adventure and comfort. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
