Attended a birthday party over the weekend. The lifeguards were horrible. They all sat together and talked the whole time. I even heard one of them say "look at this kid, is he retarded?". What kind of person/lifeguard says this? Also, a little boy, jumped off the diving board and ended up face down floating, it wasn't until someone yelled at the lifeguards "HEY! Are y'all going to jump in to save him or do I?!?" (Thank the Lord he was fine.) But that is UNACCEPTABLE! They should be ashamed of themselves! What happened to the Ellis scanning system that I believe all lifeguards should do? Or ANY kind of scanning method? All three of them sitting together and talking was more important than their job apparently, they were clearly distracted with each other. ALSO, the restrooms "porta potties" needed to be cleaned, I've seen better at Fiesta. Pool, however, was nice, I just hope the upgrades they are doing includes better lifeguard training.
