My family and I were looking for a low key kid friendly staycation (about an hour from home) and this is exactly what we were looking for! We loved that it was located more remotely. It gave us a organic camp feel. The cabins were nice, we just wish there was a bigger trash can. We only had a bathroom trash can. Other than that everything was clean and well kept. The staff was amazing and super friendly ! We loved the activities director. She had so many things planned for our littles such as t-shirt coloring, games, read alouds, relay races, bubbles with boo boo bear ect… you could tell she loves her job! I feel like the price was so reasonable for our experience!

This was my first time staying at a Jellystone park in decades (the last one was in VA. It was nice, but nothing like this). They were running a BOGO special so we booked a tent site for 2 nights and drove up from Houston for the weekend, just me and my two sons (7 & 5). We got there by 5 on Friday, set up our tent (took an hour), but by the time we went to the water zone at 6:15 it was closed. The lady at the desk had told me the hours but I must have mixed them up in the chaos. No biggie, we went to the pool and hot tub after setting up. We got a tent spot next to the bathrooms, and the electricity worked great for our little AC. Tent sites are TINY. I usually camp in TX state parks and these spots are right on top of each other. I shudder to think how crowded it gets in summer, but we were one of only two tents this weekend so it was perfect. If we came during a busy time, I would bring a camper or rent a cabin since our tent would only have 6–12 inches between us and the next one. Tent sites are the cheapest, which I thought were overpriced until we experienced the amenities: wagon ride, arts and crafts (tie-dye is extra), jumping pillow, rec room, arcade. All the arcade games are free, and contrary to other reviews only the basketball game was out of order. It was hard to find though, so ask a staff member since the sign is tiny on the back of the main building. The arcade is also small and way too loud for those with sensory issues when busy because the air hockey echoes off the walls. Still, it’s free and right by the laundry (not free, but cheap) and a… massage place? Not sure what that was. But let’s be honest, the biggest draw is the water zone. We have a Jellystone in Waller so I know they have cool features, but whoever runs the Instagram page for this location is clever. They installed waterproof LED lights on the splash zone and came up with Club Wet, which looked insanely cool in videos. I’m a sucker for that kind of thing, hence why I schlepped my kids 3.5 hours on a Friday for a short weekend stay. Several minor water features did not work, but that did not stop it from being intensely fun. My sons did each slide 100+ times. In the first couple hours there were never more than 1–2 kids ahead of us and everything went quickly. Later the line backed up and staff had to supervise, but otherwise they rarely bothered anyone. One of my biggest pet peeves as a mom is lifeguards on a power trip, and I did not experience that here. Kids went down the slides head first, feet first, backwards, together, separate. It was great. Club Wet was an awesome extra especially since the water zone usually shuts down at 6, so to have it reopen from 7-10 and completely wear my kids out for bedtime was *chefs kiss* 🤌🏼 . Millennials, would you like to relive your 1996 school dance complete with fog machine, revolving lights and music, but with the addition of being wet and having your children with you? This is the place to do it. I was concerned that reality would not live up to the hype but Club Wet was definitely a core memory for my kids, and me. It was almost 9AM before they woke up the next day. A modern day miracle. We’ve already told our friends who are pretty camping averse and even they are eager to come and try one of the cabins. Like I said, I don’t think I’ll return during the busy season but weekends during the fall and spring while school is still in session seem to be the sweet spot for how much crowding I can deal with. I will definitely be giving other Jellystone locations a try as well after this as well, and planning to come back out here soon. Quick note: they also have a nice souvenir collection if that’s your thing. I’m an avid patch collector so this was important to me

Nice, clean park. RV spaces are large and easy to pull through or back in. The pool and water park are well maintained and the staff is very friendly and helpful. A lot of fun activities for the kids and extremely close to some fantastic wineries for the adults. The only complaint I have, which is no fault of the park-but can be addressed by the park, is people walking into and through other people's spaces (RV plots, cabins, etc...). Jellystone needs to add that to their rules of the park. Walking between someone's truck and RV early in the morning or late at night is not best practice, and the park should remind guests of that. Again, no fault of the park, hence no star deduction, but still needs to be addressed.

We enjoyed our stay! We stayed Thurs - Sat so there wasn't a huge crowd which i like. We originally were supposed to stay in a cabin, but other arrangements had to be made by the campsite and they put us in the covered wagon. Its small but very comfortable. The bedding was clean, alot of towels provided and the shower was a good size. The water park area was the perfect size for my 7 year old and my toddler was able to play in the shallow parts. The pool area was also a good size and two sides that provided a good play area for a little one. I thought they rec room was very cool. Arts and crafts and also a few pool tables. All the restrooms were clean around the facility. Reason for 4 star. The wagon was in need of a deep clean. There was left over snacks in the crevices of the bunk bed, the fridge was a little dirty, the holder for the bathroom soap was dirty and the faucet could use a good scrub to avoid the water spraying at you. Still enjoyed everything else. Would recommend!

I cannot rate the rooms because we did not stay in any rooms. Me and my husband went here as a plan B for daily vacation fun day and it was amazingly kid friendly. We got day passes and our toddler got in for free. The joy my toddler had playing in the pool, splash pad and water park was just magical. The water park was even pretty toddler friendly while still the older kids had fun. We enjoyed ourselves so much we discussed staying at jelly stone over an Airbnb next time we visit Fredericksburg.
