A really good place to get away from it all. River is really shallow in most of this area so it's fun for the kids. If you want to go to a more secluded area to get some quiet, you just have to walk a bit further down the river. Over all it is a peaceful experience. The parking lot was $30 we I last went but you can park on the side of the street for free. There are cabins you can rent too.

This place is a absolute hidden gem. Get there early and get a spot right next to the river set up your canopies in the water or on the bank and have yourself a ball. The owner amazing and helpful if you need it. It's a great price for the car load. Spend the day floating the river or sun bathing bring your grill and coolers cause you won't want to leave

Hidden gem, close to Garner State Park on the Frio River. Mr. Mager has overnight camping and an area only for day use. The campsites have water and 50/30/20 amp electricity & are clean and spacious. Showers are a bit primitive but there’s hot water and they serve their purpose. Great place for lil ones since there are several areas of clean and clear shallow water for them to play in. There’s also lil “rapids” that are fun to go over in tubes. Overall great place for families.

Definitely the best place to escape. Great for kayaking water isn’t too fast but has movement to move you.

Great place to hang out with family and friends and is just a hop away from SA. With over crowding at Gardner this place is really great alternative.
