A magical state park. I have had opportunity go visited twice. Last time I visited, the volunteer program had a complete "performance". All the rooms and areas were occupied by them and made the experience unique and realistic. I felt traveling 100 years back in time. I can't wait to go back !

Beautiful design and architecture, with stunning views of San Simeon and the Pacific. Definitely worth the wait times and drive. Can 100% recommend.
Hearst Castle is a treat to visit. The staff leading the tours at this California State Park is so much fun!!!
If one measured being successful based on the pool you have, then this one takes the prize. Rebuilt several times, the final version diffidently shows off the grandeur of the era to a tee. One thing that has happened recently is you can now pay to swim in the pool on select dates. Sadly the heating system is not used and I have been told the water is rather chilly as this is spring water after all.
