The pool at Lackawanna State Park includes the following: lifeguards, a first aid station, an ADA accessible ramp, changing rooms, bathrooms, a snack bar with access inside and outside the pool, and patio areas inside and outside the pool. Don't forget to bring your own chair if you want one.

Park is clean and well kept. Pool cost money to go in, but it's an all day access. Pool is also clean and organized. Lake is perfect to go fishing at, or boating. No swimming allowed in the lake. Multiple tables, grills and pavilions are available for use. Playground is also clean and fun for the kids. Park has events all summer long. Multiple handicap parking spots, and access for wheelchairs. Pets are allowed in park, but not in the pool area. Camping is also allowed at the premise.

When I got there at noon the pool was closed due to contamination (poop probably). They cleaned it, I guess, and reopened within an hour. Despite that we went in and there were a lot of people there that apparently don't have respect or proper courtesy for others. My daughter got hit in face with a hard water ball. I was constantly trying to get her to areas in the pool where it was safe for her..... I patiently tolerated it because she loved being able to swim about (she's 6 and learning). A while later I witnessed a lady pull her young (maybe 1 1/2 yo) son out of the pool... drop his pants and his diaper was full. I was hoping it was just from the water.... NO! She pulled his diaper off right there next to the pool and it was filled with Poop! Meaning that little boy Pooped in the pool. I asked the life guard how often they monitor the water (approx. 5 x's a day). I also mentioned what I just witnessed and she said "ewe"... but did nothing. No, "Hey, we should check the water." Just "ewe". I have to say that it is a nice place and pool, but with all that I mentioned above.... take caution.

A little mad that the lady from office charged us for 2 kids that are clearly under 48 inches. I didn't know at time until I went home and read it on the site that under 48 inches kids are free!! *** so anyone reading this hopefully you read before you go in**
