What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Enumclaw Aquatic Center receives mixed reviews, with strong praise for its general facilities and staff, but significant concerns regarding its swim lesson program. Many reviewers appreciate the cleanliness of the water, noting a lack of strong chlorine smell, and commend the general staff for their safety focus and helpfulness, with one staff member, Anna, specifically highlighted. The recently reopened facility is described as nice, featuring a wonderful community room with natural light, and even gets a bonus mention for the cute goats next door. Many patrons have a nostalgic connection to the pool, having learned to swim there themselves and now bringing their own children, who generally enjoy the public swim nights and find other kids considerate in the water. However, there are substantial complaints regarding the swim lesson program. Reviewers express frustration over the short 25-minute class duration, a perceived lack of focused instruction that breezes over basic movements, and inconsistencies in teaching methods across instructors, which hinders children's progress. The registration process for subsequent sessions is also a major point of contention, as it often occurs before current sessions are graded, making it difficult for parents to plan effectively. Some feel brushed off by staff when trying to address these concerns, and one reviewer reported receiving incorrect information about making up a missed class. Minor suggestions for facility improvement include adding hooks and shelves in the showers.

I've always love coming here this is the pool I learned how to swim in elementary school I still have the scar of where my two front teeth Dug into my lower lip when my chin hit that white separator between the deep and shallow ends because I was Dumb and jumped off it and my Grandma had to pick me up and take me to the hospital I started bringing my daughter here for swim lessons when she was 6 months old she absolutely loves it so much that we're doing it again at a year old she loves going to the public swim nights to keep her used to the water 90% of kids in the shallow end saw that there was a baby in the water and we're careful not to Splash around her or get too crazy and would warn other kids that got a little too crazy too close to be careful

I recently visited after they reopened and it’s so nice! The community room that you can book is wonderful with lots of natural light. The water was SO CLEAN, it didn’t smell like chlorine at all which means they take care of their water. The staff was excellent and seemed really on top of safety. My only suggestion would be to add hooks near the showers and some kind of shelves to put shampoo on - but overall that’s minor! ALSO THE GOATS!! they have goats next door that are the cutest

BEWARE OF SWIM LESSONS!!! ADD ON: Thinking further about swim lessons at Enumclaw Aquatic Center, I’m just not sure how they think kids will be successful. The classes are only 25 minutes, which is ok but those 25 minutes need to be focused on a single move. “Today we are working on the crawl stroke. Tomorrow we will be working on the breast stroke.” My child is 8 and LOVES the water so having him be comfortable isn’t my concern. I pay to have him taught HOW to swim not breeze over all the basic movements. He is currently in the 2 week program and ideally I would like to keep him going however the following session books BEFORE the current one is done and “graded”. These changes are especially difficult for me to understand because I, myself, went through swim lessons here. Why did they change it? We used to get graded the second to last class and registration was the next day! My family participated in swim lessons last year so I’m thankful I knew to stay up for registration at midnight. We DID get a spot however, what am I paying for? I feel like we have to beg, cheat and steal to be heard by staff and then are brushed off. I was trying to be patient, give them the benefit of the doubt with construction that happened last year but this is still AWFUL. ORIGINAL: The facility is nice and clean but swim lessons for my kid are a JOKE. I understand needing to repeat levels but this is my son’s 3rd time going through this class and nothing is consistent. The teachers all instruct differently and his skills are not progressing due to these inconsistencies. We take him to family swim to work on our own and still the classes are not going well. Would not recommend for swim lessons.

I missed the 1st class due to a simple mistake of thinking it was a different time so I arrived 30 min late. The front desk said I could make up the class by calling the person that handles that but it was not the case.
