Clean park with an array of play areas and picnic sites, plus a beach for swimming.
Specific water temperatures for the Sprayground are not typically provided, as these facilities generally use unheated, ambient temperature water for splash and play, rather than temperature-controlled pools.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This park is generally well-regarded as a great place for kids, especially for its playground and splash/spray grounds, making it suitable for hot summer days. The $8 entry fee provides access to various state park amenities, including beaches, trails, and picnic areas, and some visitors noted it as clean, not crowded, with friendly staff and a good variety of toys. However, there are significant drawbacks reported, such as frequent spray park shutdowns for reasons like lunch breaks or 'too much sunscreen and sand,' and inability to use the lake due to issues like algae blooms or dead fish. Some visitors expressed disappointment over these closures and denied refunds.

Kids love this place, great for hit summer days
The playground and splash ground are fantastic. I highly recommend going. Great for kids. My grandson had a wonderful time. The only negative was the dead fish all over the beach and in the water. We were unable to get in or even near the water without walking on or near a dead fish 🤢
Very disappointed! Brought my children here with family and friend's to enjoy there self! The spray park shut down so many times within a 4 hour period it’s ridiculous honestly it was over 90 out and the kids could not go into the lake due to the algae blooms! They played in the spray park maybe 30 minutes and it shut down for there hour lunch then they opened back up and shut down again 30 minutes later due to “too much sunscreen and sand in the water“ are you kidding me?! I paid 8 dollars to get in for the kids to enjoy there self I requested a refund I was told they where unable to refund myself or my family! This makes no sense the spray park never shut down this much when I was a kid! There is no reason for it the only thing left for the kids to do was play on the playground and just wait until the water levels were good?! Smh!
Awesome babysitter🙂 and great place for children to cool off. Also have a nice play area next-door.!
Brought the kids here for Juneteenth. It was $8 to get into the park and that gives you access to the whole state park which has beaches, trails, boat launches, playground, and picnic areas. It was very clean, the workers were very friendly and it was not crowded at all. They have a large variety of toys for different age children. Definitely worth the time to take a day trip here with kids.
