We were all sick and needed to stop one night to rest. Karen was so accommodating and welcoming. She made the process so smooth, gave very clear instructions and helped us back into our site. We came in quite late, after hours, and she made us feel like family. Even offering to hold the flashlight while we set up. Her and the other staff's hospitality is wonderful, absolute top notch. The site was very clean and easy to use and navigate. The views were beautiful. If you need a place to stay, even longer than one night, this is definitely the place to be.
Finally a nice area offering a wide range of activities and it’s just getting started. Rent jet skis and pontoons. Huge water park. A Mexican restaurant with large openings and great views. The Fio’s was good just needs vegetarian options or even vegan
We had an absolutely great time tent camping. The staff was amazing and accommodating super helpful it made the experience way better. The tent space is shared and not private, which isn't a problem and made friends and my kids made friends. We did get a lakefront space which was super cool. I think the highlight of the trip was the Waterpark for the kids and the beachy side of the resort. They do have an on-site mecican restaurant (we didn't go) however you do get 10% off for being a camper. I had brought alot of food for my stay so we didn't get to go there. Overall, the 3 days experience was worth it for the memories even when it rained. Thank you so much to the staff!!
We just went to the inflatable obstacle course for the day, didn't stay at the campground. However, the staff is very friendly and they keep and eye on everyone for safety. Pretty nice beach to hangout on.
I struggled trying to decide how many stars to leave on my review because there were some really great aspects of our trip and some not so great. I will start with the waterpark. It is awesome. Every employee we interacted with was great. My kids had a blast. Even when there were a lot of people, it didn’t feel crowded. The Mexican restaurant was also great. Huge variety of food, awesome employees, love the atmosphere, music, cornhole, etc. The campground itself is nice overall. I agree with another reviewer that it is essentially a parking lot, and while the sites are large, there is zero shade. Playground is very nice. The store is well stocked and the employees there were also fantastic. My kids loved the train that pulled them around the campground. The arcade was a big letdown. It is one foosball table…with no balls…in the laundry room. The bathroom/shower house could be nicer for a private campground (with a private campground daily rate). Our biggest frustration is that we had to pay $20 per person for all day passes at the waterpark. Perhaps it was in the fine print somewhere but I was not prepared for that. The website says camping gets you access to the waterpark, which to me implies that it is included in the price. But we paid $90 a night to camp, and then $80 daily for waterpark passes for our family of four. They give campers an hour free but we camped so that we would have all day access to the park. The campground was nearly empty which was surprising to us for a weekend in the hot SC summer, but maybe that’s why. TL/DR; campground is nice, employees are great, but price is a bit too steep. We had fun but I don’t think we can afford to go back.
