Family-friendly swimming destination with 2-lane lap swimming and a large water slide structure.
Specific, regularly published pool temperatures for Crystal Beach Aquatic Park are generally not available. Public aquatic park pools are typically maintained at a comfortable ambient temperature, which can fluctuate with weather conditions.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The pool offers good value for its price and features various attractions including a truly 'lazy' river (though small and requiring floats), lap lanes, diving boards, a kids' area, and water slides. Lifeguards are generally seen as attentive and numerous. However, frequent criticisms revolve around a significant lack of shaded areas and lounge chairs, leading to suggestions of bringing personal camp chairs or issues with chairs being occupied by belongings. There are also instances where key attractions like slides or diving boards were not opened despite sufficient staff, and a desire for extended operating hours. Clearer signage is suggested for the 'sitting only' pool area.

went for the first time last week and really enjoyed it. for $7/person you cant beat it. the town of Madison has so much to enjoy as well! lazy river is small and requires a float (they provide them) so you may wait a minute but it's nice and doesn't have anything that sprays you or dumps on you a real *lazy* River! in the middle of the lazy river is a round pool with a seat around the edge - this is meant for sitting only which is a great idea- but a sign would be helpful. the poor lifeguards kept having to tell kids they needed to be seated if they were in there instead of jumping and playing. the lifeguards did seem attentive and they had quite a few. one thing to note - there are very few chairs and even less shade. I saw one person had brought a camp chair and that may be a good idea. there were a lot of people on towels in the grass, and a lot of the chairs had people's bag/towels but never a person in them. my kids loved the slides.
First time back since the redo and almost everything was great. Definitely in need of more shaded areas and lounge chairs. Lifeguards were very bossy about people being in the lazy river without a tube even after they'd been in there a couple laps. How about get more tubes and chairs with shade please.
Nice setup. The pool house has toilets, showers, changing areas, and lockers. The pool area has two lanes for lap swimming, two low boards for diving, a sitting area surrounded by a lazy river, a large small kids area, and a large water slide structure with two slides. There are pool chairs all around the pool, but not enough for every person/group. Well staffed with lifeguards that change positions every 15 minutes.
We took our family to swim and play yesterday for my daughter's birthday and were so disappointed. They refused to open the slides or diving board which was the main reason for choosing this location.. They had plenty of staff, often 2 or 3 standing around talking while working. We will be finding somewhere else to go in the future.
Fun City pool. Many different activity areas. While I miss some of the open space the old pool had this one definitely draws a much bigger crowd. Wish they would extend the hours though as they close before I can get their after normal work day.
