What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this pool are mixed, but recent feedback indicates a significant decline in quality and maintenance. Positive aspects noted include its family-friendly atmosphere, an associated park, and a shallow pool with a convenient 'beach-style' entrance suitable for young children and those who prefer not to climb ladders. However, multiple recent reviews highlight severe issues: the pool's cleanliness has drastically deteriorated, with reports of 'filthy' water and extensive 'black mildew' covering the pool bottom. The water slide has been consistently broken for at least two seasons, and there's a severe lack of working chairs and shade, with existing amenities often described as broken. Concerns were also raised about inadequate lifeguard supervision and lengthy rest breaks. Many reviewers express frustration that the city's Parks and Recreation department appears unresponsive and uncaring about the facility's neglected state, with some suggesting it needs to be significantly improved or closed down.

Went to pool but it rained us out still nice pool and an awesome park
This pool is 5 minutes from our house in Fayetteville, so we've gone multiple times every summer for the last 3-4 years. Not only has it gone downhill, it continues to go downhill. For summer 2025, the water slide is still broken, just like last year. But last year, you could at least find a chair, and sometimes you'd get lucky and get an umbrella. Now, they don't bother to put out umbrellas. Ask them why, and they'll tell you all that is broken. Almost all their chairs are also broken now, so finding any place to sit is difficult. There are a couple of sturdy picnic tables that are still intact, so that's your seating option, if you're lucky enough to get one, and you'll be roasting in the sun. There is no shade of any kind at this facility, unless you're an employee who can hang out in the office. The final straw for me was when I visited in July, 2025. Much of the bottom of the pool was covered in black mildew. I'm not talking about a spot of mildew. This is a patch of mildew fifty feet long that you can't miss and can't avoid. It's slippery, and of course, it's gross. Realistically, I'm not sure how much more neglected this place can get. We've started spending a couple dollars more and going to Tullahoma, where there's plenty of seating, plenty of shade, 3 functional water slides, and a lazy river. The city should fix this place, or close it down for good. But call and talk to Parks and Rec and you'll get the distinct impression that no one cares.
I don’t know what has changed in the last 2 seasons because the cleanliness of the pool has drastically changed. I took my grandson yesterday and once again the pool was filthy. I called the parks and recreation department to notify them and got the feeling they don’t really care. I’ve also noticed since last year there is no adult supervision with the lifeguards any more, and last year the rest breaks were anywhere from 20-30+ minutes long. It’s a shame because the pool could be nice.
Family friendly place, we love shallow pool with easy entrance for little kids. So far slide didn't work but in general it is a decent place.
This is our favorite pool that’s close by. The slide is fun it has beach style entrance so those that don’t like or can’t climb ladders can easily enter the pool. The pool is no deeper than 5’.5” which was the biggest plus for me since the next closest pool has a 12’ section but no longer has a high dive
