I already shared a lot of details below myself and my family stayed here. My in-laws were very impressed with the cleanliness and friendliness of whispering Oak Campground. The owner Rick was very personable and made sure that we were very comfortable. This is very close to the interstate. There’s a lot of things to do all around and Rick always has great suggestions of places to go. would highly recommend

A very little bit off the highway enough for a nice quiet campground. Beautiful very shady area. Gravel road and gravel sites. Our site, we could not get level on. Several campsites. Appears to have some permanent residents too. Clean, organized, well kept campground. Nice owners. Nice playground for younger children, a swimming pool, and a large grassy area. Beware the woodpeckers! We had one who thought our RV was a fancy tree! Pull-throughs, full hookups, bath houses. Very pleasant stay.

I’m sure this place is nice. I never stayed there, but I did reserve a camp spot. I was supposed to travel up there for work(its about 2 hours from me) but it ended up changing for me. So I called to cancel the reservation that I made the day before that I only got because someone had pulled out before-hand 5 minutes before I had called. The lady in the evening was very nice on the phone but the man that works in the morning was very rude to me. I reserved the spot with the lady, but canceled with the man in the morning. The man said he’d have to charge me for two days which I said was fine. It’s 200 weekly. They charged me 150. I called the same day they charged me. It was the lady instead and she said she would make a note saying to call back. I told her the man was very rude on the phone and she laughed(I guess it’s a normal thing) And they never called back.

We booked one night here because it had good ratings, but upon arriving, they took us all the way to the back of the park, where there were very few trees and the two trailers that were next to us were surrounded by trash. Friendly staff and a decent price, but we wouldn’t stay again.

The owner and managers work every day to make sure Whispering Oaks CG is top notch. Speed in the campground is strictly enforced for the safety of the kids/campers and great to see. Full hookups and right of I-24 for those needing a couple nights rest before moving on. Rick and his wife are great camp host and never see them without a wave or a smile. Tip, if your there during Christmas...your in for a great meal and gathering at the main building with gifts for all provided by the owner. If you full time and are looking for a spot...this is the location.
