About

The Splash Pad located at 1703 E Church St, Union City, TN 38261, USA, is a public recreational water play area. It features various interactive water elements such as fountains, sprayers, and jets, providing a fun and safe environment for children and families to cool off and play, especially during warmer months. It is typically a popular outdoor amenity within a park setting.

As a splash pad, this facility typically utilizes various water features like sprays and jets rather than a traditional pool with standing water. Consequently, there are no specific 'pool temperatures' advertised or maintained, as the water is generally municipal tap water supplied at ambient temperature.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? This splash pad is generally well-received as a fun, free, and clean place for kids to beat the heat, with many reporting their children had a great time. However, it is noted to be a small splash pad with limited shaded areas for parents and often surrounded by hot, sunny spaces. Reviewers also mentioned issues with non-working water fountains and no vending machines, emphasizing the need to bring drinks. A significant concern raised was the presence of unattended children leading to rowdiness and bullying, despite signs requiring adult supervision. Overall, it's considered a good option for a small town splash pad, provided visitors come prepared with drinks, sun protection, and ensure their children are supervised.

Kids had fun. The place is nice and restrooms are clean. Great way to spend the day without spending any cash.

Nice little place to take the kiddos to beat the heat. Not quite as large as some of the splash pads we've been to, but there's still ample room to play. There are a few shaded tables for parents to sit at and watch but I imagine they would be occupied on even a halfway crowded day and the rest of the sitting area is in the sun. So bring an umbrella just in case and plenty of sunblock. There are no vending machines and the water fountains don't work, which was an odd thing at a WATER park so make sure and bring drinks. The play area is clean, the bathrooms as clean as could be expected. While we were there, a group came by from Trudy's Kids Cafe and handed out snacks and drinks to some of the kids. I don't know if this is an everyday occurrence but wanted to include it simply because it was such a kind, thoughtful thing to do. For a small town splash pad, I was pretty happy with the place. The only reason it lost a star is because there were several unattended children, despite the many signs prohibiting children under 14 without adult supervision. This, of course, led to things getting a little wild and 2 little boys being picked on and, ultimately, hit by bigger kids. So parents, PLEASE don't send your children alone. Why any sane parent would want to is beyond me, but apparently, some parents think it's ok... All things considered, I think it is a great way to spend a hot Summer day. My kids had a great time and I enjoyed seeing them happy and cool!
