The specific operating temperatures for the pools at Drake Springs Family Aquatic Center are not explicitly published on readily available public information. Public aquatic centers typically maintain their pools at comfortable temperatures for recreational swimming during the operating season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The aquatic center offers a variety of attractions, including a large splash pad, a shallow pool for young children, a deeper pool with diving boards, a waterslide, and a lazy river, which some visitors found enjoyable for a hot day. However, a recurring theme in the reviews is the establishment's overly strict rules and the negative demeanor of its lifeguards and management. Complaints include prohibitions on 'gainers,' mandatory tube use in the lazy river, strict diving rules (e.g., no swimming after diving), and prohibitions on playing in water jets during breaks. Visitors frequently described lifeguards as cranky and prone to yelling, leading to a perception that rules were arbitrary and not always safety-driven. One review specifically cited a 'disgusting environment' and poor management, causing several patrons to express an unwillingness to return. Pool closures due to thunderstorms were also noted.

Great place to spend a nice hot day. They have a large splash pad area for little ones with a good variety of buttons and levers to turn the water on and off. There is a smaller pool for smaller kids attached to the splash pad with a depth of 3.5 at the deepest perfect for little ones. The deeper pool has dual diving boards. Last but not least is the waterslide for tubes and the lazy river. Great place!
No gainers, super strict, and some lifeguards were very cranky.
Don't go to this place! Disgusting environment for children. Kristen manager made it much worse than necessary as well. We will not be coming back or to any of the affiliated pools due to this experience. BEWARE! Much better places to go.
There a sky is clear and mosty and party clouds is nice, but, there problems, there thunder storm in the pool, so, pool is closed.
So I've never been to a pool with so many ridiculous rules. My son wanted to flight down the river and a life guard yelled at him and told him to get into a tube. I asked what the issues was and they told me everyone must be in a tube. Diving rules were a little strict but no the biggest thing. However, I dove off the diving board and swam across the pool. I was then met with a life guard yelling at me that I am not aloud to swim after jumping and must exit to the side. I dont understand this logic and it really bothered me (I felt exiting the area was good enough and this may have just been a personal issue. Still don't yell at me for trivia stuff.) They then got onto my son for jumping in the pool. Lastly, when they took a break later in the day and no one is aloud to swim, my son and some kids were playing in the water jets outside the pool. (The ones that shoot water into the air). The life guard blows a whistle and starts screaming no swimming. I interjected and told them not to yell at my kid and I told him to play there while we wait for whatever yall are doing. They told me I should know better, and I need to get him out of the water. Maybe I'm overreacting at these things, but it struck me as I'm allowed to sit in the pool and do nothing. After some time we got bored at left. The attitude and rules in places absolutely killed it for me. They seemed less about safety and more of because I said so by the life guards. One time was enough for me.
