Family-friendly destination for summer swimming.
Specific, consistent temperature information for Prospect Pool is generally not publicly available as it is an outdoor municipal pool. Its water temperature typically fluctuates with the ambient air temperature and prevailing weather conditions during its operational summer months.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews offer a mixed but generally positive view of the facility. Many families love spending the entire summer there, praising the helpful and friendly employees, especially those who teach kids to swim. Patrons appreciate the crystal clear water, well-maintained grounds, and the availability of cheap, good food at the convenient store. However, several negative experiences are also highlighted. Concerns include inconsistent rule enforcement, with some guests feeling targeted for minor or innocent behaviors (like modest displays of affection) while others, potentially regulars, are allowed to break rules. There are also reports of unprofessional staff behavior and a lack of understanding or accommodation for children with special needs regarding changing room policies. Recent changes, such as the elimination of discounted entry after 4 PM and a new charge for chairs, are noted as drawbacks, as are instances of earlier closing times. Despite these criticisms, many visitors, especially children, continue to enjoy their time at the facility.

My family buys passes and spends all summer there. We love the employees and they take their time to help teach kids to swim. Food is cheap .. all around amazing!
Went for the first time yesterday. The young man that checked us in was sweet and personable. And the first couple hours were great. My daughter, son in law and 9 year old were having a lot of fun. Aside from the screaming kids that were being obnoxious. Then my daughter was told that she couldn’t be so close to her fiancé. It looked inappropriate in front of children. When it was completely innocent. My daughter has more sense than that in front of kids. Then we noticed a group of kids literally following us around and every time we did anything involving touching they were going to the lifeguards and they would whistle at us. My fiancé finally got in the water and about an hour in the lifeguard manager came over and said him and I needed to keep our hands to ourselves because kids were saying we were being very inappropriate when I literally had my arms around his neck and we were walking around. I argued that point and was told we were free to leave if it was a problem. 5 minutes later we did leave and onlynplan to go back one time to show that there is absolutely nothing in their rules about PDA, even tho we weren’t doing anything. We saw kids getting to break the rules on diving and flipping off the side of the pool at the shallow end with the lifeguards permission who laughed and joked with the kids doing it, so I assume the kids are probably regulars and get preferential treatment. I don’t go for preferential treatment in those circumstances. The rules are for all. Not all but you favorite people. Very unprofessional…
The water is Crystal clear, the life guards are on there ps@qs. The grass is always mowed. They also have a good food/drink convenient store.😀😎
Great if your going to spend all day there with 5 kids. They don't do a price change after 4:00 any more its $5.50 now reguardless of the time. I mean I guess its OK , they do gotta make money somehow. but it was ideal when you only had a bit of cash and only going the end of the day . chairs are now a $1.00 as well. The kids love it , great staff. Just stinks when they close earlier than 6:00. All in all not to shabby.
My aunt and nephew went here the other day to go swim just to leave because a lady decided to tell my aunt my nephew couldn’t be in the girls changing room. And my nephew is autistic so he can’t be alone and yes he’s smart in his own way but people need to stop and think before ruining someone else’s day. I think people need to do better and they shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. But I do want to know why people think they see a tall kid and think he’s of age like what is of age? Like what is that supposed to mean his mind only thinks about Buliding things and taking things apart and playing game.
