Seasonal outdoor pool in Bidwell Park offering lessons and snacks.
The pools at the Northside Family Aquatics Facility are heated to a comfortable temperature to ensure an enjoyable experience for all visitors, particularly families. While a specific degree is generally not published, the water temperature is maintained for recreational comfort throughout its seasonal operation.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The facility receives mixed reviews. Many praise its excellent swim lessons, particularly highlighting specific instructors like Gillian. The park area is highly regarded, offering a wide range of brand-new climbing toys and sports courts (volleyball, pickleball, softball, basketball) suitable for all ages, with clean restrooms. The pool is a family favorite, often described as clean and spacious, featuring a splash pad, slides, and a diving board. However, several concerns were raised, including pricing being considered high, a strict no outside food policy (leading to expensive and limited snack options), and significant issues with communication regarding closures and facility hours (website often inaccurate). There are also criticisms about staff, primarily teenagers, being unresponsive, unkind, and uncommunicative, as well as problems with processing refunds.

All of my kids have done lessons here and have learned so much! Gillian is an especially good instructor and helped my daughter improve so much more than I expected.
This is an amazing park for literally all ages. Tons of brand new climbing toys for kids 2-12, 4 lighted beach volleyball courts, 3 pickle ball courts, softball fields, and a basketball court. The bathrooms are open and clean. We will be coming here often.
I feel this is overpriced for what you get. Children are only ages under 5 for a cheaper price. Not allowed to bring in outside food.
I'm torn with this facility. The pool and set up is wonderful. It's a great location to go have summer fun with a pool, a splash pad, slides, diving board, swim lessons, birthday party options, a park and Play area, and a food truck set up. The downside is the workers who are mostly teenagers can be nonresponsive, unkind, and noncommunicative at times. Also in general the communications of closures is near zero. For example we went yesterday at 1430 after making reservations (paying) and while waiting to get in were approached about a contamination with a 24 hour closure needed. Today I had swim lessons set up and knew about the contamination only because I was in line yesterday, but no communication was sent out today. So basically if I didn't go yesterday I would have shown up today not knowing. It seems they need to become better at communication. This is not the first time this has happened either which shows a lack of something. I wanted to review in hopes to give awareness to the owner about this lack of communication and consideration via the workers. Also I'm awaiting a refund on the cancelation yesterday still which I was told will come today. Overall wonderful place but needs better employees that are at least kind to kids and parents, aware of the swimmers safety, and much better communication in general.
Love this pool. It's a family favorite every summer. It's always clean and there us always plenty of space. Be sure to call for hours. The website isn't always accurate or up to date. Also, no food allowed inside. Must buy the limited and expensive snack options, but that won't stop us from going.
